I am a STEM-focused student, inventor, app and game developer, athlete, and creative performer passionate about using technology to make a meaningful impact in my community. I developed FreeCareMD, an award-winning healthcare accessibility app that helps uninsured and underinsured individuals locate free healthcare providers across the United States. My work earned first place in the 2022 Congressional App Challenge, where my app was displayed in the U.S. Capitol and presented before members of Congress, as well as first place in the 2023 global Paradigm Challenge and recognition from NCWIT’s Aspirations in Computing program in 2024. Alongside rigorous STEM coursework, engineering programs, and an industry cybersecurity certification, I have completed over 300 volunteer hours and supported nonprofit marketing initiatives. Beyond academics and technology, I am a nationally ranked tennis player, undefeated varsity #1 singles player, and recipient of a scholarship to train at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain. I also have extensive experience in theatre, television, and film, which strengthened my creativity, confidence, and communication skills, and earned me the competitive Gil Rogers Scholarship for the Cinematic Arts. Creativity has always been more than self-expression for me; it has been a way to serve others, build connections, and create meaningful change within my community. Whether through acting, technology, athletics, or community service, I have learned that creative work has the power to inspire people, bring attention to important issues, and make others feel seen and supported. What drives me to create is the belief that even small actions and ideas can positively impact someone’s life. I hope to continue using creativity not only to tell stories, but also to solve real-world problems and strengthen the communities around me.
For the past ten years, I have worked as a child actor in student films, independent productions, and creative projects to help young filmmakers and student directors bring their visions to life. While many people see acting only as entertainment, I have experienced how storytelling creates empathy and human connection. Working on student films taught me how collaboration, creativity, and communication allow people from different backgrounds to come together and share meaningful stories. Many student filmmakers rely on volunteer actors and limited resources to complete their projects, and being able to support their work taught me the importance of using my own talents to help others succeed. Through acting, I learned confidence, leadership, adaptability, and the value of encouraging creativity within my community.

While researching healthcare inequality, I discovered how difficult it can be for families facing serious illnesses, including cancer and terminal diseases, to navigate the healthcare system when they lack adequate insurance coverage. I wanted to create something that could make healthcare information easier to access during some of the most stressful moments of people’s lives. What began as a local project eventually expanded throughout New England and became part of a larger mission to improve healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.
FreeCareMD earned first place in the 2022 Congressional App Challenge, giving me the opportunity to present my work at the United States Capitol before members of Congress and government leaders. The project also earned first place in the global Paradigm Challenge, where I presented my app to leaders focused on solving worldwide issues through innovation. Outside of technology and acting, tennis has also shaped my understanding of leadership and community impact. As a tennis player, I have had opportunities to encourage and teach younger athletes, helping them build confidence, discipline, and perseverance. Mentoring younger players taught me that leadership is not only about achievement, but about lifting others up and helping them believe in their own potential.

Technology has transformed nearly every aspect of modern life. We can communicate instantly across continents, access endless information within seconds, and use artificial intelligence to solve problems once considered impossible. Yet despite these advances, many people feel more isolated than ever. In a world driven by screens, algorithms, and automation, authentic human connection can easily become lost. I believe the future of human connection depends not on rejecting technology, but on using it with empathy, purpose, and compassion to bring people closer together during the moments when they need support the most.
I first understood the importance of meaningful connection through my work creating FreeCareMD, an award-winning healthcare accessibility app designed to help uninsured and underinsured individuals locate free healthcare providers by specialty and location. While developing the app, I researched the experiences of families struggling to navigate the healthcare system while facing serious illnesses such as cancer and other terminal diseases. My long-term goal is to combine engineering, healthcare, and technology to improve healthcare accessibility for underserved communities. I want to develop innovative tools that help patients and families navigate healthcare systems more easily, especially those facing serious illnesses such as cancer or other terminal diseases. Through my experiences creating FreeCareMD, an award-winning healthcare accessibility app, I realized that technology can do far more than simplify tasks — it can directly improve and even save lives. My future goal is to continue building solutions that reduce barriers to healthcare and expand access to resources.
To achieve these goals, I plan to major in engineering with a focus on technology and healthcare innovation at University of Central Florida. A strong college education is essential because it will provide me with the technical knowledge, research opportunities, mentorship, and professional connections necessary to expand my ideas into larger-scale solutions. I intend to take coursework in software development, engineering design, data science, healthcare systems, and artificial intelligence so I can better understand how emerging technologies can improve patient care and accessibility.
