Throughout my childhood, I always wanted to solve problems. That opportunity came sooner than expected. I built a sustainable solid-state thermoelectric converter engine for my dad's business that could cut bi-axial polypropylene, multiplying profit by over 400%.Through this very personal experience, and through my experience in rigorous academic research, I have become a true problem solver, both in my immediate community, and on the global stage. My original research with the International Lumiere Research. Published in National High School Journal of Science (NHSJS) in June, 2024. It focused on adressing water quality in my home country, Nigeria, and is the first comprehensive studies to focus on the state of the art of water quality in the whole country. I was mentored by Mohd.J. Jameel (MIT). Both my research, and engine invention, stem from personal drive and a passion for health and the environment, but I have most shown my devotion to my community through my environmental passion project which i founded and currently lead. Through this institution, we have aimed our efforts on the preservation of 2 endangered species, planted more than 2000 trees in 14 communities, created more than 10 full/26 interim jobs, and established a biological garden. I believe I am a great candidate because I make the world a better place (at least, on this side of the Sahara). My love for problem solving has made me a leader who rises up to responsibility when it matters. A scholarship will open up unprecedented opportunities for me to be a better problem solver in college.
