Bio

I want to become someone who can help others to reach their dreams and become a better person overall. I constantly try and better myself and step back to assess what about me could be improved and therefore I always try to show dedication and determination in what I do which sometimes can be a big negative but I try and compensate when it does become a negative attribute.

    Netflix and Scholarships!
One of my all-time favorite Netflix shows is Supernatural." Supernatural" follows two characters, Sam and Dean, throughout their occurrences with supernatural creatures. The show constantly starts off with dramatic scenes. For example, the pilot episode starts with the loss of their mother. Their mother died a gruesome death, in which she was found plastered on the ceiling already dead. I can't describe how amazing each episode is and how great the plot is (that's something you'll have to see for yourself). As the show progresses, you learn more and more about Dean and Sam. Dean is Sam's older brother and is projected to be the protector. In countless episodes, Dean is seen being stern with Sam. He is constantly stern towards Sam simply to protect him. Despite Dean's need to protect his brother, Sam feels it is unnecessary. This contrasting dynamic is carried throughout the entire show. I believe the special dynamic between the brothers is what makes the show as good as it is. To add more to the plot, the brothers find themselves meeting people whom they create close bonds with. It adds a sentimental bit to the show, seeing as they start off only having each other to depend on or talk to. Although the plot is "hands down" the spotlight of the show, I think what really draws you in is the meanings and relativity in each episode. As mentioned in the name, the show is about the supernatural but yet its more than that. No matter what episode you watch there is always bad that outweighs the good. Everything in the show is corrupt, even heaven and angels are portrayed as neither good nor bad. This carries the brutal message that there is bad in everything, no matter how downplayed the bad is. But with the bad comes, Dean and Sam, they face evil every day for the sake of others and themselves. In a way, it shows that we as people must fix the evil that is going around us. In the episodes, the longer a certain evil entity has been around, the stronger or more malevolent it is. This constant depiction leads to another meaning. The longer evil is left alone the worse it'll become. In everyday life, we pass by wrong or evil things, yet we choose to ignore them. By leaving evil alone, we allow it to continue to manifest and do harm that could have been stopped. These are just a few meanings that can be interpreted from the show. But, these are just my own interpretations. Many fans of the show have gone to TikTok, Instagram, or even Twitter to express their own interpretations of underlying messages or scenes. This show is more than a show to me. In a way, this show shaped me since I grew up watching it. I believe it will do that to anyone who chooses to watch it. That's why I believe you should watch it as well. Why not watch something that scares the soul out of you, but also teaches you lessons to be better.

I exemplify leadership in my everyday life in various ways. But, it has to be known that I exemplify leadership because I have to and want to. As the president of my SkillsUSA chapter, I have to make sure everyone is doing what they need to. I also have to make sure that communication is held in high regard. Recently, I created an officer group chat. I created this group chat solely on the basis that all the officers can communicate and do it efficiently. I also wanted to hear all the officer's values for skills and how they'd like to see skills. Next, I show leadership through volunteering. What I came to know through volunteering is that it does require you to take the reins sometimes. Every time I volunteer, I try to make sure I'm earlier than the given time. I believe that being earlier dismisses any chances of setbacks, for example; traffic congestion, accidents, road work, etc. It has to be noted that when you volunteer people are counting on you to show up on time because they have lives just like you. At first, when I started volunteering I was helped a lot but now I am expected to take initiative. To make sure things run orderly with no time to lack, volunteers have to know their duties and not expect to be constantly told. Now, I immediately reach my volunteer facility and begin to unclasp cages and walk dogs one by one without waiting. Recently I joined another volunteer organization, this organization would comprise of me mentoring kids and other opportunities. I could have waited for mentoring to begin to start my duties, but I wanted to immediately jump in. So now, I will be coming into the volunteer office to help them get things sorted out. People have lives no matter what they do or how they seem, meaning that helping someone benefits both parties. On top of these things, I am also on the yearbook staff. There is no room for slack when you are creating something to be looked at and held on to as a memory. On the yearbook staff, everyone has to show leadership. You have to not only be able to lead others but yourself as well. If one person slacks the entire book could be messed up. Every day I came in and got to work on what I was tasked with and I asked for feedback knowing I wasn't perfect. I also hope to continue to be that way this year. I feel like this exemplifies leadership because a leader has to be able to hear people's feedback and grow better from hearing it. In everything I do I try to show leadership because it is the only way I can pave the way for myself. I understood from a young age that some people fall and others soar. I believe that the people who can soar took advantage of the opportunities they had and made sure to on to them. Therefore, they were leaders who had to lead their destinies.

With my degree I plan to change what I never was able to. In my town a girl committed suicide 2 years ago, she did this due to being sexually harrased by her coach for years. This story really struck something inside me. It made me realize just how unfair/unjust the world is. It made me want to do things to help victims of all types of bad situations. More injustices began to show after that big story. A man was shot due to being caught between gang violence. A little girl had to watch her father be buried due to manslaughter. All these things continued to pop up and I just thought, "Why is the world like this?" I could not answer this question but I did spend long hours thinking about what I could do to fix the damage done in this world. That is when I began to do research on the criminal justice pathway. The more research i did the more I thought about being involved in the pathway. Then I came across a field called criminal psychology. This involves the study of criminals/suspects. The job helps the law enforcement to gain knowledge of a suspect/criminal. For example there knowledge can be used to learn of suspects or criminals habits, education level, personality traits, etc. They can also go as far as helping to determine the type of area the suspect/criminal wouldmost likely live. Learning about this career made something in my mind light up. It combined my love for psychology and my passion to help people who have been wronged. Therefore, with my degree I plan to help my community gain justice and relief for their loved ones or friends. I plan to allow my knowledge of certain dangerous traits to be shared and noted. I plan to show criminals that I will stop at nothing to make sure they are apprehended and given warranted time behind bars for their crimes. I plan to set in stone to people that the things that happened to them by a certain person will never happen again because of that person. Realistically, I hope to work my way up through constantly learning. i hope that my degree will help me gain a spot in the FBI. I believe by joining an organization that helps people all across the nation, I will be able to spread my support and strength to thousands of people. This degree will help propel me into being abole to finally make the change I have always wanted in my community. I'll be able to get justice for the girl who was sexually harrased and the girl who's father was murdered before he could even watch her grow up.

To put it simply living, throughout my life I have always struggled with mental illnesses. These illnesses made me wonder if living was really worth it, therefore I constantly felt down and hated living. As time passed on I realized the one thing I can hold on to if I can’t hold on to anything else is life, because your life can be manipulated to how you want it. As long as your alive you can have a chance to do whatever you want to change your future and make it into what you want. Even with numerous setbacks that happen in life, it can still give you hope because life is something not everyone will have all the time and it isn’t something to be taken lightly. More and more people lose their lives daily and just that thought combined with the death statistics makes life stand out to me even more and bring me hope that the future can and will be better because I’m alive and have a chance to do things to change my life. If it wasn’t for the life I was given then I wouldn’t be able to even have hopes and dreams or nightmares and worries. All because of the fact that I am alive, am I able to experience everything there is to experience in this world and experiences and memories are the most precious things to have. Therefore if anyone was to ask me what I value most and what gives me an abundance of hope I would have to always answer that it is life and life simply. The life I have lived has made me realize just how precious of a thing it is and as long as I live I’ll always be given hope by the fact that I am still alive and have many chances to change my life for the better.

One practical solution, would be to advertise or show in some way that when your not okay, it’s okay to need help. Since, most people are clouded by the idea that mental illness can only be conquered alone. It is worst than having to argue with a butt hole.
