I am a recent nursing graduate from Texas Christian University. I am beginning my professional practice as an oncology nurse at a Level I Magnet-designated hospital in Dallas, where I will care for patients navigating complex and life-altering diagnoses.
Through my education and clinical experiences, I have developed a strong commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care and patient advocacy. I am especially passionate about oncology nursing, mental health awareness, and supporting individuals and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
I aspire to be part of meaningful, positive change in the world by using my skills, empathy, and voice to improve healthcare experiences and promote equity, dignity, and hope for every patient I serve.

Taylor Swift Fan Scholarship
One of the most moving performances of Taylor Swift’s career, in my opinion, is her live performance of “Father Figure” from The Life of a Showgirl. What makes this performance especially powerful is how it intentionally reframes traditional ideas of strength, authority, and leadership. Rather than presenting power through dominance or control, Taylor embodies a quieter but more resilient form of strength; one that reflects emotional intelligence, responsibility, and the willingness to step up when others cannot. The performance feels deeply personal, as if she is not only singing about societal change but actively standing as proof of it.
“Father Figure” is my favorite song on the album because it speaks to what feels like an evolving world. One where women are no longer limited to being nurturers or caregivers, but are increasingly recognized as leaders, providers, and decision-makers. The song challenges patriarchal norms by highlighting how women often take on roles historically assigned to men, not because they have to, but because they are capable. Taylor’s performance reinforces the idea that strength and care are not mutually exclusive. A woman can be empathetic and still be authoritative, gentle and still powerful.
This performance resonates deeply because it reflects a hopeful vision of the future where women are seen as “girl bosses” not as a trend or exception, but as a norm. Through “Father Figure,” Taylor captures the reality that many women already live: stepping up, holding things together, and leading with both confidence and compassion.
