I read books multiple times a month.
My name is Taylor Mickens, a passionate young adult. I'm excited to see what the future has in store as I rely on God to order my path. I’m as intentional as I can be with everything I do. Setting goals is really what keeps me going! I wasn't always so driven to achieve any goals. I used to not care about life as a whole. Every decision I made was based on the opinions and thoughts of others. I lived in a world of comparison. With no stable identity, I was built on the foundation of instability. I used fitness as a method of "fixing" my insecurities, vanity-focused. From as early as 9 years old, I was ashamed to look in the mirror. I developed an unhealthy perspective of health overall. In 2024, I found my way into college without any plan. After staying at Towson for a semester, I sought God. Then took a step of faith, and ended up coming home. Towards the end of 2025, I went through one of the hardest mental challenges of my entire life. I circled back to fitness; I just wanted to feel better. This time, God was my backbone, not comparison. I walked upright into a world of health I didn't even know was possible for me. I figured out what I really wanted to do: help others reach the healthy lifestyle I’ve experienced. Health is not something to be "added" in life, but infused into humanity. Striving for health shouldn't be an option, but a requirement to live life to the fullest. I want to help people experience health in a way that it will never depart from them, where they stay healthy for life! I have many plans for the future, let’s live healthy together!
