What really inspired me to attend South Carolina State University was the legacy my family has here. A few of my cousins are proud alumni, and growing up, I’d always hear their stories about the friendships they built, the opportunities they had, and how SCSU helped shape their lives. Their passion and pride made a big impression on me. Every time they talked about State, you could feel how much the school meant to them. It wasn’t just about getting a degree it was about becoming part of a community that pushes you to grow, both personally and professionally. That stuck with me. So when it came time to choose a school, SCSU felt like the right place. It already felt like home. And when I looked into my major and saw how strong the programs were and how committed the school is to uplift its students, I knew this was where I needed to be to reach my goals.
