    My Brother's Keeper Scholarship
I used to think that faith was simply believing in God and going to church. Today, I understand that faith is choosing to trust Him when there is no visible evidence or guarantee of the outcome. My name is Tatianna Christopher, and I am a curious and compassionate young woman who is constantly seeking growth academically, personally, and spiritually. Growing up, I always wanted a career that allows me to help people. At first, I wanted to be an OBGYN, but a friend helped me identify my spiritual gifts and I realized that my gifts are better suited for a career in psychology. I am an emotionally attuned person who loves to understand and support others. I am currently a High school senior that will be attending Michigan State University in the fall of 2026. Learning daily is important for me whether it's through new words, hobbies, or expanding my mindset. I chose to continue learning at MSU because I believe the more knowledge I gain, the better equipped I will be to make good decisions and serve God and others. Although I am still deciding on a specific career, I plan to pursue a degree in psychology. I want to help people manage their mental health while discovering their own strength in God. To truly understand and help others, it takes not only knowledge but compassion, patience, and willingness to serve. My faith has guided me to approach my curiosity and gifts with a purpose. My faith is the foundation of who I am. It gives me perseverance because I know it is bigger than myself. My trials and tribulations aren't just my story, they are a testimony people may need to hear one day. My faith influences my vision for the future by reminding me that my purpose is a building block for God's kingdom. It encourages me to utilize my gifts for His glory so that I can bring hope, understanding, and healing to those who need it. Every decision I make, from my studies to how I treat others is guided by the values my faith instilled in me. Receiving this scholarship would not only help with minimizing my financial burden of college, but it would also serve as a stepping stone towards my career in psychology. It would give me the opportunity to grow academically, continue servicing people, and most importantly putting me a step closer to fulfilling the purpose God has placed on my heart. With this support, I can fully focus on my studies, continuing to develop the knowledge, skills, and faith driven resilience needed to help individuals navigate mental health challenges and discover their own strength in God.
