Bio

My name is Tasfia. I’m doing bachelor degree in mercy college. It is located in New York. My major is marketing and my target is to learn strategies for being a successful businesswomen. I want to be the inspiration of women. My hobby is going out for a walk. I love to do social work too. I worked as a volunteer of youth voice as well as Macquarie university. I love to gather experiences and knowledge. Why do I need scholarship? Frankly speaking, I don’t want to be dependent to my parents. I’m an international student so my cost is higher. I get worried about my tuition fees and thus, I break down mentally. I want to complete my graduation because it’s my mothers dream. Scholarship will help me to pay for my education.

Are you passionate about fitness? Because I really care about healthy body and mind. There was a time when my body was really fatigue and my mind was dull. I gained weight after my operation. I used to get tired after doing work. Eventually my mind was unfit for doing intellectual work. Then, I decided to lose weight. I prepared a balance diet chart for me. I used to have healthy food with less calories ,walk for 1hour in a day. I did some free hand exercise. I used to sleep early and wake up early. And trust me, it worked. I lost 12 kg approximately. I feel good now. I am also passionate about travelling. Although I can’t travel that much because of my study. But whenever I get chance to explore new places, I’m always ready. Travelling helps me to keep my mind fresh. I noticed, my brain works faster than usual whenever I go for travelling. I love to do cooking. During pandemic, I was really bored. I had nothing to do. So, I used to look out for different recipes. I cooked many food items for example, pudding, custard, cake, brownies, biryani, chicken curry, beef, fish. And now, I cook everything with confidence.

My name is Tasfia Khanam. I’m from Bangladesh. I still remember the day when I was completely hopeless. I was on 10th grade and I failed in test exam because I was really ill. People was laughing at me and discouraged me. They even asked me not to study further. But I didn’t listen to anyone of them. My parents and my brother encouraged me a lot. They asked me to get up and start over again. I shifted into British curriculum and completed my Olevels and GED. I worked hard instead of giving up. I wanted to show others what I’m capable of. Then, I applied into Mercy College. They accepted me as their student and I completed my first semester. My CGPA is 3.69 and I never thought that I could be in this position. 3years back, everything was messed up and now I’m grateful with what I have. I want to proof myself by completing bachelor degree. I want to get a job after that to make my parents proud. Sometimes, I get worried about the payment of tuition fees because my father is sick. I don’t want him to get worried. I don’t know what our creator has written in my fate. But I will try my best to complete my graduation.

There was a time when I couldn’t appear my 10th grade because of my illness. I was hopeless but one of my brother encouraged me to start over again. I did it. People discouraged me but I never lose my hope. I was confident enough and passed my O levels and then completed my GED. Then, I applied into Mercy college and accepted as their student. People demotivated me because the tuition fee is high. But my parents told me not to worry about anything. I know they will help to pay my tuition fees but I don’t want to be dependent.
