Ever since I was a young boy, I dreamed of going to university and making something of myself. My parents shared that dream and pushed me to it. I may have had some bumps in the road here and there (not going to sugarcoat it) but in the end, I got to university. I had passion and drive, and that's what is pushing me to this day. I want to make a better future not just for myself, as a first-generation college student, but also for my future children so that they can have a better life than I had growing up.

In five or ten years, I see myself changing the world with my work. Ever since I was a young boy, I have always loved learning and researching different cultures, languages, and customs. As such, when I enrolled in university, I came with the mindset of utilizing that knowledge to the best of my ability. With the experiences that I have obtained throughout this time of education and refining of my skills, as well as with working with people of countless different religious, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds, I can use those opportunities from my time in university to make a positive contribution to the diplomatic and/or military partnerships of the United States, and to further an environment of mutual understanding between both the people of the United States and of other countries as well. One specific area of expertise would be in Asia, where many of my studies over the course of my life (both self-study and in university) have taken me. Asia is a region that American policy makers tend to have less practical knowledge about, despite being one of the major areas of American national security and diplomatic policy. With this knowledge, I hope to help foster a better understanding of each other on not just a governmental level, but also a personal level.
