My life goal is to become a pharmacist, a career where I can combine my passion for biology with my desire to help others by improving healthcare and ensuring patients receive the best possible treatment. I’ve always been fascinated by science and how it applies to real-world problems, and I know this is the path that will allow me to use my skills to make a meaningful impact. Growing up in a single-parent, low-income household, I’ve witnessed the struggles my family faced, but those experiences have also taught me resilience and determination. I’ve learned to balance school, work, and extracurricular activities like cheer practice and National Honor Society, all while financially supporting my family since I was 16. My family has always encouraged me to pursue education, and I am committed to breaking generational cycles of underachievement by using my knowledge to create a successful future. What drives me is not just achieving my personal goals but also setting an example for others—especially young Black women who may not see many people who look like them in STEM fields. I want to show them that despite any challenges we face, success is possible through hard work, determination, and education. I’m a great candidate because I’ve demonstrated the ability to persevere, take on responsibility, and remain focused on my goals. With the opportunity to continue my education and pursue my career, I plan to give back to my community and inspire others to believe in their own potential.
