Bio

After I graduate, I have a goal of working in criminal behavioral analysis, as well as victims advocations. Once I complete undergraduate, I'd like to go on to hopefully receive my M.S. in Criminal Justice with Trauma and Victims Concentration. While I have known for a fair bit of time that I wanted to work in criminal justice and psychology, I was never really sure what the perfect combination was for myself. I distinctively remember searching “criminal justice and psychology” jobs into my computer and I found a website for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, AASECT for short. Through their website, meeting with my advisors, and working with the association directly, I have concluded I would like to obtain my PhD and retain the title of Sex Therapist. As someone who has struggled with issues such as mental health, I knew I wanted to do something that gave back to the help I once received. With a love for helping friends solve problems, working as a crisis counselor, and working with criminals, I knew I wanted a broad avenue. This gives me avenues to work in the criminal justice system and psychology alike. While also giving me further opportunities like such as being an expert witness and working some of the most severe cases. It definitely sounds crazy to some, but ultimately it gives me the best path to whatever job I want, and I couldn't be any more excited!
