Even before high school, service has been a prominent factor in my life. The enjoyment of volunteering through my middle school’s student council led me to join Key Club in high school. As a member, I have volunteered over 160 hours for more than 35 organizations. Having the ability to make a child smile at field day, accompanying a senior citizen at nursing home bingo, and seeing the joy of families in Europe with new clothes and basic necessities will continuously be worthwhile. Being able to pass my blessings to others and make even the slightest impact on our community is what I continue to work towards. Likewise, my officer positions have prepared me for the communication and community aspects acquired to evolve in college. I am currently Senior Class President, NHS Vice President, Ceramics Club Social Coordinator, and an FCA Leader. Spending time proposing events and asking the administration for approval with detailed presentations, as well as, leading meetings of more than 100 students provides me with experience in presenting researched information in front of higher authority and large groups of students. As for collaboration, working with a group of officers who are just as passionate about their position is very beneficial to the success of the organization. Being able to build off and learn from one another is how new skills are gained and outcomes are produced.
