Hi! My name is Sydney and I am a freshman at the University of Maryland. I have a passion within me that fuels my every move. Whether at school or during my extracurriculars, I am dedicated to putting my all into everything I do. In high school I maintained a high GPA of 4.2 taking a challenging curriculum including mostly AP/IB courses. Now in college, I have a 4.0. During my free time I enjoy my extracurriculars, which include choreographing dance routines, gymnastics and playing my violin. I also have spent a lot of time volunteering in my community. I participate in ImpactNow a university chapter organization that provides tailored support to the underrepresented student population in the DMV area. During the summer months, I participate in Feeding Philly, where volunteers dedicate their time feeding Philadelphia citizens through food drives. I also continue my motive of providing food to the community by volunteering with Caring for Friends, a nonprofit organization where I prepare meals with care and create cards with positive messages attached for individuals who are homebound due to age or disability.
