My name is Sydney Carrero, and I am currently a sophomore majoring in Graphic Design with a GPA of 3.52. I have completed 52 credit hours by taking classes part-time to full-time for the last three years. My goal is to complete my Associate of Applied Science degree at the Community College of Aurora. After pursuing this, I will transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor's degree. I am motivated to uplift my journey, maintain my GPA, and complete my degree. The high school achieved my diploma as of June 2020 from enrolling in Concurrent Enrollment and ASCENT programs. As an LGBTQ+ ally and bisexual representation, I look forward to accomplishing the above and beyond for the community. I feel more confident and willing to help others to achieve my goals.

Bold Equality Scholarship
Reaching a goal will create positive ambitions for my education. The purpose is to continue to grow what I am today for a better tomorrow. I was not allowed to receive pell grants or receive a majority of scholarship acceptances. Disqualification is due to the overqualification of my parent's contribution of income. However, the income wasn't going towards my needs for my educational purposes. Therefore, the goal will help my educational needs by granting textbooks, computers, and essential online needs. My mother only completed the elementary level of education. My father has achieved only the associate's level of education. As a daughter and a college student, I am a first-generation. I aspire to a bachelor's degree in the excellence of opportunity from the scholarships.
