Bio

I am so passionate about everything I do, I work my hardest and give my all no matter what it is. My life goal is to be a K9 officer with a local law enforcement agency. It has always been my dream to become a police officer, I believe they are so important in our community. I want to be able to become a law enforcement officer and change the way people think about law enforcement today I want to be the officer people see the good in and help create a positive image for law enforcement. I am a perfectionist if I don’t get it right the first time I will do it over and over until I get it right. School is a very important thing to me and I want to be able to go through it with a positive attitude and be able to reach my goals.

Law enforcement has always been my career choice since the 7th grade, all my life law enforcement has been very positive. I grew up in Modesto California, a semi of a high crime area, so law enforcement was a good thing for our family. I have always loved all of the crime and mysteries in all of the shows like NCIS and Law & Order SVU it has always piqued my interest. Now I am going into my sophomore year of college majoring in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration and minoring in Criminalistics. I attend Western Illinois University, a school with one of the most known criminal justice program in the nation. I heard WIU was ranked in the 10% of criminal justice in the country, I knew I had to go I wanted to go for the best chance to become a police officer. My goal is to make an impact in the community I work in. I would love to help change the flawed view of police and make connections to the community and the people who live there and create a relationship with the community members to help them have the best idea of law enforcement possible. I would also love to make the community feel and see any sort of good change in their lives and environment, I would love to be the officer that is always there and help the community feel safe and able to live their lives in the best way. People always ask why law enforcement or if your mom or dad a cop, to which I always reply no. The reason I want to become a police officer and the inspiration behind my drive is the police officers in the Modesto city police department. In January 2019 law enforcement was called to my high school James C. Enochs high school to an active shooter threat. The police ran in with guns and blocked the door and check with students to make sure we were all ok, even though it was just a threat the police were there and prepared to do anything to keep us safe no matter the circumstances. That situation right there made my decision clear as day, that is what I want to be, I want to be the relief and the safe feeling in people, and as soon as I saw those officers I knew it would be ok, I want to be the one to run in and be the reason kids and everyone can feel safe. That Is why I want to be a law enforcement officer.
