Bio

My name is Susan I'm 39, and I'm a mother of 3 I'm currently enrolled in college to become a respiratory tech. I am a first-generation college student, so taking the jump to go to college for the first time at age 37 was a hard choice, but I decided after being a stay home mom since the age of 19 it was time to focus on my dreams.

Mental health has been a big effect in my life and it has had huge effects in my family with several family members suffering from the same and one even ending in a death. I know how serious it can be first hand so I definitely take mental health serious. I struggle with it daily from anxiety and depression it's always a challenge from day to day. I try to always stay focused on the good and try to not let my overthinking and emotions get the best of me. Some days are worse then others but I know that with the right treatment or talking to others about the way I'm feeling makes it possible to overcome those feelings. One practical solution I'd say is be supportive for anyone who suffers from mental health and be there for them and give them advice. If I could give anyone advice suffering from mental health disorders it would be, stay positive, know that things get better, seek help and talk to someone, don't keep it to yourself or isolate your self and understand that many others suffer from the same things so there is people out there that understand.
