Bio

My name is Summer Love, and I am a full-time healthcare student, healthcare professional, and proud single mother. My educational journey has not always been traditional, but every challenge I have faced has strengthened my determination to build a better future for myself and my son. I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in healthcare management and administration. Through my experiences in pharmacy operations, healthcare administration, and patient support, I have developed a passion for improving healthcare systems and helping others navigate their healthcare journeys. These experiences have inspired me to continue my education and pursue leadership opportunities within the healthcare industry. As a first-generation example of resilience for my child, I am committed to showing that setbacks do not define a person's future. Over the years, I have balanced full-time work, full-time studies, and motherhood while remaining dedicated to academic excellence and personal growth. My long-term goal is to earn a graduate degree in Healthcare Informatics, transition into healthcare analytics, and eventually become an entrepreneur within the healthcare and beauty industries. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy reading, singing, spending time with family and friends, and strengthening my faith. Education is one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting change. I am dedicated to using my education to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others and the communities I serve.

Serving my community is important to me because I understand what it feels like to need support during difficult seasons of life. Throughout my journey, I have experienced challenges that tested my faith, resilience, and determination. There were times when my educational goals were delayed, when I faced financial hardship, and when I had to balance the responsibilities of being a single mother while trying to build a better future. During those moments, the support, encouragement, and compassion of others reminded me that no one succeeds alone. Because of those experiences, I believe it is important to give back and help create the same sense of hope and support for others. My desire to serve is deeply connected to my faith and my commitment to healthcare. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion regardless of their circumstances. Working in healthcare has shown me that some of the most meaningful acts of service are often the simplest. Sometimes it is listening to someone who feels unheard, helping a patient navigate a confusing process, or taking the extra time to show kindness during a stressful situation. Small actions can have a lasting impact on a person's life. My perspective on service also comes from my experience as a mother. Every day, I strive to set an example for my son by demonstrating the values of empathy, perseverance, and helping others. I want him to grow up understanding that success is not measured solely by personal achievements but also by the positive impact we have on the people around us. Serving my community allows me to live out those values while showing him the importance of being a person of integrity and compassion. As I continue my education and pursue a career in healthcare leadership, I hope to serve my community on an even larger scale. My goal is to help improve healthcare systems, advocate for patients, and contribute to creating more accessible and equitable care for everyone. I believe that service extends beyond volunteer hours or professional responsibilities. It is a lifelong commitment to making a difference wherever you are planted. Ultimately, serving my community matters to me because I want to leave things better than I found them. Whether through healthcare, mentorship, advocacy, or simple acts of kindness, I hope to use my experiences to uplift others and create opportunities for people who may be facing challenges of their own. If I can help someone feel supported, encouraged, or empowered to keep moving forward, then I know I am fulfilling a purpose greater than myself.
