Bio

Hello! My name is Sudiksha, and I have a keen interest in technology, specifically computer science and information technology. I want to be apart of this fast-paced advancing field. I love to help others through service, and my goal in life is to start a ripple effect and make a change. My interest in computer science started early in my youth. Ever since, I have taken all the computer science classes offered at my high school and have maintained my grades while taking honors and AP classes. I want to combine my interest in tech with my passion for the environment and use my knowledge to create programs to help conserve our planet. I am planning on pursuing my bachelor’s in computer science. I do plan to further my education beyond as well and obtain a masters in information technology. I have a strong passion for volunteering, and I want to spread my knowledge and help others out there find their driving force. As a high school senior, one of the programs I am in, Math4Girls, is a method for me to practice my passion. I teach 5th and 6th graders interested in math new/advanced math topics through fun activities. As someone pursuing STEM, it is amazing to see how advanced the world is getting and I want to make an impact through the education I will pursue! In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, analyzing film, and spending time with my family.

I held down the power button. The elderly-lady in front of me looked visibly confused, her demeanor immediately shifting from shock to relief as she saw her phone restart. Seeing her expression relax and blend into a smile reminded me of my own relatives whom I frequently guide with their electronics. A simple grin breaking through the routine of daily life is sunlight piercing cloudy fog; it is a passion that drives me forward and blooms my empathy. Volunteering as a Cyber Senior at Brethren Village, a local retirement community, throughout my high school experience had given me many moments like this, where I found solace in helping others with their technology and changed the trajectory of my life to pursue a career field in technology, and with plans to further branch off to attain my masters in information technology. I want to continue to assist others to provide guidance in all terms tech. My plans for the future include me finishing my bachelor’s degree in computer science at Penn State University Park, and being able to research technology’s relationship with aspect of the environment. I will later move forward to pursue my masters in information technology and continue to make my impact through the world of technology and navigate through it skillfully. This scholarship would help me in my future goals because it would help me focus on achieving my ambition to contribute to sustaining the environment using technology and become further skilled in navigating tech to help more people. I would be able to focus more on developing new programs to help clean energy prosper, which I want to make my life’s work. I would apply my skills and help others more exponentially because student debt would not burden me as much. I believe I would thrive assisting others with their technology. In my future, I see myself debugging issues and continue even farther than I have done to this point. I want to race against the rate technology is moving. I want to use the skills I have honed to make my impact. I want to exercise my passions and make my dream of restoring the environment come true through the power of technology. There are so many great ambitions I keep close to my heart, and I long to exponentially grow my impact, and to ripple that effect to vast reaches. With that same power button, I aspire to be an inspiration and impact others with my passion for computers.
