Bio

I was the first child of my family, born in Arizona to ASU college students. A year and a half later, my sister arrived. My family grew to four children, then in 2001, my parents adopted four children from Russia. I got an older brother, a “twin” brother, and two younger sisters. My parents could not pay for all of our college tuition. It was completely up to us if we wanted to attend college. I received scholarships for my first years of school, but I hadn’t developed a motivation for studying and didn’t do well in school. After taking a couple of years of volunteering for my church, I learned more about the most important things in life and how valuable education is to me. I returned to school but struggled to find the funds. Since then I’ve been looking to pay for living expenses and school while pursuing my dream to develop personal education and maybe even research as a professor. I am motivated by university education and feel grateful for anything that helps me pursue this commodity.

I believe I am happiest when I am pursuing a purpose. That purpose can benefit me or others. The purpose also needs to be honorable, like volunteering at assisted living or substitute teaching. I believe purpose needs to be customized to my strengths, so I can know that I am using my time wisely and reaching my potential. I believe a noble purpose is supported by the majority of people and by people that have come before us. If our ancestors knew what I was doing, I would want them to approve. Most of our ancestors that have created our world and brought us into it have worked hard to make it a place where we could develop and prosper. I want to continue their pattern. A noble purpose has psychological benefits that affect myself and others. Others can be motivated by my good attitude. Experience in pursuing a noble purpose can give me the strength to know that what I am doing is good and a foundation to share with others who want to develop their own pursuits of purpose. Recently, I wrote about the value of creativity to our society. Creativity contrasts competition by allowing great things to be accomplished or built. Creativity involves development, whereas competition may use sabotage. Though both want to succeed, creativity only allows for greatness. In pursuing a noble purpose, creativity partly defines it. A noble purpose is fueled by creative efforts. In conclusion, a happy person pursues a noble purpose and applies creativity. They understand that their life is a representation of those that have come before and can be a support for others in the future. The happiest people give and receive love. They create paths for people to find inspiration.
