I measure my success by not conforming to our world's view surrounding "success". My ability to think and act on things which are honorable is my success. I ask myself, "who/what will this action serve". My success comes through the manifestation of my service. I dont measure success through life wins and loses. I believe to be the FIRST person to do it. My approach is "learning experience ". I am open to learning. I stand on, "there's more then one way to skin a cat". The world is incredible and interesting where success is seen as accomplishments, through awards, trophies, and public recognition. Infact, success is measured by competitive actions. My Courage assist in my, "self" measurement. As a child one of my first encounters with identifying "the idea of success" was in middle school. The interaction between boys and girls proved to me early in my life that I will defind success for myself and will freely help others clear their questions or confusions regarding their perspectives around success. My faith measures my success. I'm a black female living in the inner-city Eastside where success is "taught". It was uncomfortable as a child believing my idea of success against what I was being taught intentionally and unintentionally. As I evolve, my measure of success evolve. The" life assignments" that I am humbled to take part in redesign and shape my measure of success. It's not an "outcome", meaning wheather recognition is shown or not. It's an "income", meaning success is from inside where my deepest desires, fears, passions, question are stored. My reality of being apart of the human race, living and breathing while gaining understanding and knowledge to take part in exposing truth in a way that open others mind-set is what success means to me. Success to me is being open to my purpose. I practice this by being helpful. I will be an asset not a liability for the world. My continued positive mindset gives me I believe an advantage to see success in others. Success has redefined itself in this stage in my life. I am set on not being motivated by financial stability or professional achievements. Success at 50+ years being able to make a positive impact and helping others create a life where they can do the same. It's a process of life that will continue to encourage generations to come. Success.
