Bio

My name is Stephanie Neef, and I am currently a single mother working full-time in the Emergency Department, which primarily serves the impoverished population. I am enrolled to achieve my master of science in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am passionate about advocating for the underserved population and becoming a Family Nurse Practioner in the Emergency Department. I have committed to serving others and worked in the COVID-ICU during the three-month pandemic in 2020. As challenging as it was, I realized that my purpose is to care for those who are alone and unable to care for themselves. As a critical-care registered nurse for nearly 11 years, I have devoted my time and efforts to serving others and creating an empathetic environment for patients and their families during times of hardship. I plan to provide a voice to the indigent, overlooked, downtrodden, and unheard population. I plan to change the world one kind deed at a time through kindness and a serving attitude.
