Hello, I am Stephanie, a sedulous, vocal, versatile, and dependable black student from Haiti eager to use the educational tools and opportunities of America to turn my dreams into a reality. Occasionally, when people ask me what my favorite subject is, I say "I love all the subjects equally." However, science, specifically neuroscience and neurology, have always made me ponder the multiple aspects of the brain. How the brain functions, how the systems aid in its function, and its overall characteristics. Two years from now, I want to study neuroscience, so I can pursue neurosurgery. Although physical and emotional hard-work are rooted in neurosurgery, they fail to compare to the liberation that forms within me when I am learning about science. Putting my creative scientific ideas into action is what I believe science is all about. By doing this, I am determining what makes the world and everything around me tick. All of these are linked together to create the foundation of science. Science has always been my happy place; what has always set me free because I can use my creative thoughts to form a conclusion.
