Bio

I am an artist, and have been for my whole life. Art is a huge part of my life, and I'm proud to have achieved a 5 on the AP 2D Art and Design Exam in 2024. I also love reptiles and amphibians, and am interested in evolutionary and wildlife biology. I will be graduating from Montclair High School this June, and I have committed to attend a dual degree program at Tufts University. This program will allow me to pursue both a BFA degree at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts and a B.S. in the School of Arts & Sciences. I am excited about this opportunity to pursue art and my interest in wildlife ecology and conservation. Outside of high school, I have participated in summer programs to further my learning in art and science and I have been actively involved in community service, for which I was elected to the National Honor Society. In addition, my artistic endeavors are not limited to visual art. I also show a bold spirit of leadership in music. Having studied violin since age 5, I perform solo regularly, have been a leader of my section in the Youth Orchestras of Essex County and won our 2024 solo competition. No matter what I’m doing, I have never been afraid of challenges, or heights! I am on the advanced competitive club climbing team at Gravity Vault. I compete and have made it into the USA Climbing Regional competitions in both 2024 and 2025. After being a swimmer for many years, I followed my heart and switched sports. I find the climbing community to be creative and supportive, and I hope to make it a part of my future.
