Bio

My name is Stanley Nicholas Green, Jr., and I recently graduated from Lake Brantley High School, Class of 2026, with a 3.8 GPA. This fall, I will attend Morehouse College to major in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. My goal is to become an entrepreneur who creates businesses that generate jobs and strengthen communities. Throughout high school, I balanced academics, athletics, leadership, and service. I played football, served as the manager of the girls' flag football team, completed dual enrollment coursework, and volunteered more than 65 hours in my community. One of my most meaningful experiences has been volunteering with HYPE (Helping Youth Prosper and Excel), where I mentored youth, helped provide meals to individuals experiencing homelessness, and participated in community outreach. These experiences taught me that leadership is measured by service, compassion, and the ability to positively impact others. Outside of school, I enjoy football, wrestling, culinary arts, and building model airplanes and boats. These hobbies have strengthened my creativity, patience, and problem-solving skills. What sets me apart is my determination to grow through every opportunity. I believe success is built on discipline, perseverance, and serving others. At Morehouse, I look forward to developing into a principled leader who uses business to create opportunities, inspire others, and make a lasting difference in my community.

When I think about the impact I want to make, I don't just think about building successful businesses or achieving financial success. I think about creating opportunities for people who may never have believed those opportunities existed. Growing up, I was fortunate to have parents who worked hard, believed in me, and taught me that success isn't measured by what you have—it's measured by what you're willing to give back. Because of them, I have always believed that if I am blessed with knowledge, resources, and influence, I have a responsibility to use them to help someone else reach their potential. One of the moments that shaped me most happened when my father suffered a heart attack while I was in sixth grade. Seeing someone who had always seemed so strong suddenly become vulnerable changed the way I looked at life. It reminded me that nothing is guaranteed and that every day is an opportunity to make a difference. That experience made me appreciate my family even more and strengthened my determination to build a future where I can provide security for those I love while also helping others build better lives for themselves. Throughout high school, I discovered that leadership is often found in the small things. Whether I was volunteering with HYPE, mentoring younger students, serving individuals experiencing homelessness, managing the girls' flag football team, or encouraging teammates on the football field and wrestling mat, I realized that people remember how you make them feel more than they remember what you accomplish. Those experiences taught me that leadership is about showing up consistently, serving without expecting recognition, and helping others believe in themselves. At Morehouse College, I hope to grow into the kind of leader who creates lasting change. I plan to study Business Administration because I want to become an entrepreneur who builds companies that do more than generate profit. I want to create businesses that provide stable careers, invest in underserved communities, and give young people opportunities to learn, work, and succeed. I know what it feels like to be believed in, and I want to be that person for others. I hope to mentor young entrepreneurs, create internships and scholarships, and encourage students to dream beyond the limitations they may have placed on themselves. My faith reminds me that every blessing comes with a purpose. I don't believe I am pursuing an education simply to improve my own life—I believe I am preparing for a lifetime of service. The impact I want to make isn't something I hope to accomplish years from now after I become successful. It begins with how I treat people today and will continue throughout my career. My vision is to leave every community stronger than I found it by creating opportunities, investing in people, and leading with integrity, humility, and compassion. If my education allows even one young person to believe that they can achieve more because they saw someone else open the door for them, then I will know I have made the kind of impact that truly matters.

My faith in God has been the foundation of my life and one of the greatest sources of strength, guidance, and purpose. Growing up in a loving, two-parent household, I learned from my parents that faith is not something we practice only on Sundays, but something we live out every day through humility, integrity, compassion, and service to others. They demonstrated these values by caring for our family, treating others with respect, and remaining faithful through both joyful and challenging times. Watching their example taught me that success is measured not only by personal accomplishments but also by the character you display and the positive impact you have on others' lives. My relationship with God has given me peace during difficult moments, gratitude during times of success, and the confidence to trust His plan even when I could not fully understand where He was leading me. Throughout high school, my faith helped me balance the responsibilities of academics, football, wrestling, community service, and college preparation. There were moments when the demands felt overwhelming, but prayer, perseverance, and my trust in God reminded me to remain focused and give my best effort every day. My faith has also shaped how I lead and interact with others, encouraging me to show kindness, patience, respect, and compassion. Volunteering with HYPE (Helping Youth Prosper and Excel) gave me the opportunity to put those values into action by mentoring youth, serving individuals experiencing homelessness, and participating in community outreach. Those experiences strengthened my belief that serving others is one of the greatest ways to reflect God's love and make a meaningful difference in the world. As I begin my journey at Morehouse College, I believe my faith will continue to guide both my education and my future career. My goal is to become an entrepreneur who creates businesses that generate opportunities, strengthen communities, and empower others to succeed. I want my career to represent more than financial success. I want it to reflect the values God has instilled in me by leading with honesty, treating people fairly, and using my success to help others reach their potential. I believe God has blessed each of us with unique talents and responsibilities, and I want to use mine to create opportunities that improve lives and leave a lasting impact. No matter where my future takes me, I want my faith to remain the foundation of every decision I make. By trusting God's guidance, working diligently, and remaining committed to serving others, I hope to build a career and a legacy that honor Him, strengthen my community, and inspire others to lead lives rooted in faith, integrity, and service.

Morehouse College will provide me with the academic foundation, mentorship, and leadership development needed to achieve those goals. Receiving this scholarship would ease the financial burden of attending college and allow me to focus more on my education, leadership development, and community service rather than financial concerns. It would also encourage me to continue striving for excellence as I pursue my dream of becoming a business leader who leads with integrity, serves others, and creates opportunities that improve the lives of those around me. I am committed to making the most of every opportunity, and I will work hard to honor the investment made in my education by giving back to my community throughout my life.

A simple belief drives my educational and professional goals: success has the greatest value when it creates opportunities for others. While I aspire to become a successful entrepreneur, my vision extends far beyond owning businesses or achieving financial success. I want to build companies that create jobs, strengthen underserved communities, mentor future leaders, and leave a lasting impact on others' lives. Every step of my educational journey has reinforced that purpose and prepared me to become a leader who serves with integrity. Throughout high school, I learned that growth comes from challenging myself both inside and outside the classroom. I maintained a 3.8 GPA while balancing dual-enrollment coursework, football, leadership responsibilities, and community service. There were many days when practices, assignments, and volunteer commitments competed for my time, but those experiences taught me discipline, perseverance, and effective time management. They also showed me that success is not achieved alone—it is built through consistency, accountability, and the willingness to work hard even when no one is watching. This fall, I will attend Morehouse College to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Morehouse's mission to develop leaders committed to scholarship, service, and social responsibility aligns with my own values. I want to take advantage of every opportunity the college offers, whether through internships, leadership organizations, or mentorship from faculty and alumni. My education will equip me with the knowledge to lead organizations, solve complex problems, and make thoughtful decisions that create lasting value for others. My long-term professional goal is to become an entrepreneur who builds businesses that do more than generate profit. I want to create companies that provide meaningful careers, invest in underserved communities, and inspire innovation. I believe businesses have the power to strengthen neighborhoods by creating jobs, supporting local organizations, and giving young people opportunities to succeed. My goal is to build organizations that prioritize both excellence and service, proving that business leaders can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Service has already become a defining part of who I am. Through my volunteer work with HYPE (Helping Youth Prosper and Excel), I have mentored youth, participated in community outreach, and helped provide meals for families and individuals experiencing hardship. These experiences have reinforced the importance of compassion, empathy, and investing time in others. I also served as the manager of my school's girls' flag football team, where I learned that leadership is often demonstrated behind the scenes. Supporting my teammates, staying organized, and helping others succeed taught me that leadership is not about recognition but about creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to excel. As I continue my education and begin my professional career, I plan to expand my commitment to civic service through mentorship, philanthropy, and community partnerships. I hope to establish scholarship opportunities for students, support youth entrepreneurship programs, and create internships that give young people valuable career experience. I want to use the knowledge and resources I gain throughout my career to help others achieve goals they may have once believed were impossible. My education at Morehouse College is the foundation for the future I hope to build. It will prepare me to become an ethical business leader, a dedicated community advocate, and an entrepreneur who measures success not only by personal achievement but also by the opportunities I create for others. My goal is to leave a legacy of leadership, service, and empowerment that extends far beyond my own accomplishments.

When I was in sixth grade, my father suffered a heart attack. At an age when most kids worry about homework and sports, I found myself confronting the possibility of losing someone I admired most. Watching my family navigate uncertainty taught me that life can change in an instant. It also taught me that strength is not the absence of fear; it is choosing to move forward despite it. That experience became the turning point that shaped how I approach challenges, relationships, and the future I want to build. As my father recovered, I began to understand the importance of resilience, faith, and community. I watched family members, friends, and even strangers show up to support us during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. Their kindness left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to become someone who gives back when others need help. That experience changed the way I viewed success. I realized that accomplishments have little meaning unless they are used to make a positive difference in the lives of others. From that point forward, I became intentional about serving my community and looking for ways to help those around me. Those experiences gave purpose to everything else I pursued. I worked to maintain a 3.8 GPA while balancing dual-enrollment coursework, football, leadership responsibilities, and community service. There were long days when practices, classes, and assignments felt overwhelming, but remembering what my family had overcome reminded me that difficult seasons are temporary. As the manager of my school's girls' flag football team, I also learned that leadership is often found behind the scenes. Supporting others, staying organized, and helping my teammates succeed taught me that leadership is measured by service, not recognition. Through my volunteer work with HYPE (Helping Youth Prosper and Excel), I have mentored youth, participated in community outreach, and helped provide meals to families and individuals in need. Those experiences have strengthened my belief that meaningful leadership begins with serving others. This fall, I will attend Morehouse College to study Business Administration with a concentration in Management. My dream is not simply to become a successful entrepreneur but to build businesses that create opportunities for others. I want to provide jobs, invest in underserved communities, mentor young people, and prove that success has its greatest impact when it is shared. The lessons I learned through my father's recovery and through serving my community have shown me that one person can change the trajectory of another person's life. Looking back, my father's heart attack was the moment that reshaped my perspective. It taught me to appreciate every opportunity, to persevere through adversity, and to never take the people around me for granted. It gave me a deeper sense of purpose that continues to guide my education, my commitment to service, and the future I am determined to build. I hope to honor the sacrifices made for me by becoming a leader whose success is measured not only by personal achievement but also by the lives I help improve along the way.
