I am an undergraduate student at Drexel University, on the pre-health track. I am currently a Clinical Research Lab Assistant at MAClab (Memory and Concepts Lab) in the Psychology and Brain Sciences Department at Drexel University, focusing on cognitive processes and memory studies. I am also a Clinical Research Assistant in the Orthopedic Surgery Department at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, assisting with ongoing studies in the Sports Medicine subspecialty.
I have completed my co-op in the Orthopedic Surgery Department at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, specializing in Sports Medicine. During my time, I worked alongside multiple Orthopedic surgeons in their clinics and gained exposure to the healthcare environment. Through clinical observation, I developed skills in patient assessment, preoperative and postoperative care, and health policy. My responsibilities also entailed in assisting multiple clinical research studies involving sports-related injuries. This experience enhanced my understanding of orthopedic surgery and the importance of a holistic approach to patient care.
As a pre-health student, my goal is to leverage my educational background and practical experiences to contribute meaningfully to the medical field. I am eager to connect with professionals and explore opportunities that align with my passion for advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes.

Connie Mack Memorial Scholarship
I have lived in Hatfield my entire life, surrounded by a community that has shaped my values and given me opportunities to grow. Every weekend, I stand at the front of my father’s Bengali restaurant in the Montgomery Mall, greeting customers, taking orders, and connecting with families who, like mine, built their lives far from home. My father opened the restaurant to fulfill a lifelong dream and to create a place where people could share food prepared with care and tradition. It is more than a business. It is a symbol of sacrifice, community, and the work ethic I carry with me into every part of my life.
I graduated from North Penn High School a few years ago, proud to have earned two athletic scholarships that recognized both my high GPA and my accomplishments in track and field. Track taught me discipline, resilience, and how to balance competing priorities. During the season, afternoons were spent at practice and weekends at meets, while my evenings were reserved for homework and studying. The demands were constant, but they taught me how to stay committed to my goals even when the schedule was grueling.
Some of my proudest memories are not just from winning races, but from the moments that tested my character. I think of the meet where rain poured relentlessly, returning to practice from a pretty bad sprain, and trying to stay in shape alone and on my own after COVID-19 shut down school. Like many athletes, I faced setbacks. Injuries forced me to spend time off the track, focusing on rehabilitation rather than competition. I learned how to train smarter, listen to my body, and support my team in new ways. These challenges shaped my appreciation for both the physical and mental strength athletics requires.
Sports have also been my way of giving back. Through the Young Quakers Community Athletics program at the University of Pennsylvania, I volunteer as a track coach for elementary school students in underserved Philadelphia schools. Watching them complete their first relay or beat their own records reminds me of why I fell in love with the sport. Athletics is more than competition. It is a way to build confidence, discipline, and community. My passion for athletics eventually led me into the field of sports medicine. While working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the orthopedic surgery division, I saw firsthand how medical care, rehabilitation, and encouragement can help athletes return to their sport stronger than before. That experience reinforced my desire to combine my love for athletics with my commitment to helping others.
Connie Mack understood that sports can shape character and bring people together. His commitment to generosity, community, and teamwork reflects the same values I strive to live by. This scholarship would help me continue my journey, building on the foundation my family, my education, and my athletic career have given me, and ensuring that I can give back to every community I am part of.
