My name is Srikari Kurada, a First-Gen student dedicated to my passion in medicine and giving back to my community. Alongside challenging myself academically and getting involved in every honor society at school such as NHS, NSHSS, NAHS, TRI-M, and Spanish Honor Society, I've volunteered 5 summers teaching and creating a chess club at my local library. Furthermore, I helped secure grants up to $25,000 for organizations in need by being a board member in the Greater Together Community Fund. I’m actively involved in our Historical Society as a docent to understand and teach to others in my community the importance of our town’s heritage. I interned with the Town Historian to appreciate and deepen my understanding of my town’s history, and produced a show interviewing election candidates.
Volunteering in hospitals helped me merge my dream of healthcare with my passion in community outreach. As a Research Director at 'Stemteenities' I foster student research opportunities to help others like myself who dream of a career in STEM. I lead our school’s Pre-Med Club, Student Council, Newspaper (Broadside), and Literary Magazine.
My passions include poetry ( won writing contest), photography (nominated for Scholastic Art & Writing Awards), singing, and Kuchipudi dance, through which I assisted in organizing 'Nirbhayam,' & I’m performing a 2026 Rangapravesam.
While my aim is a career in medicine, my love for my community will never fade. I've learned that nourishing my passions will help me heal not just others, but also the relationships with those that make life worth living.
