Bio

I want to pursue a welding degree to better myself and advance in a field I am interested in. My story is a bit different as I was born in Guatemala and my parents adopted me at 6 months of age. They had big dreams to give me a life I would never have had before and I want to continue that and gain a career not just a job. I had experience in high school in the welding program and found it to be rewarding. I had a great relationship with my teacher who had me assist him with my peers who were struggling. I enjoy helping others and find that I am a good teacher. I am very organized and like things done well so welding is a field that I am able to do just that. I have been working construction for a family company since graduation in 2023 and have grown so much in general knowledge but also areas of problem solving and working alongside others. I have a great interpersonal skills and get along well with generally everyone. I like to do well and strive to make sure my job is done in a timely manner but also the correct way. I am excited about my new adventure and pursuing my knowledge in welding beyond what I learned in high school. I come from multi generational family of welders and am proud to carry on in a career that I think would make my Great Grandfather (who was a welding teacher himself) incredibly proud.
