The very moment when I stepped into Duke's NICU, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to pursue: neonatal medicine. Everything I experienced stuck with me. I can still remember the kind environment, the sweet nurses, and the impact they made on my family. The doctors and nurses that saved my sister's life truly did inspire me. My life goal is to care for the tiniest lives, support families during their hardest times, and make a positive impact on my community. Studying neonatal medicine is the perfect way for me to reach my goals, as I'm very passionate about working with newborns and families. I love challenging myself, taking the lead, setting examples for others, all of which will help me achieve my goals. Apart from neonatal medicine, I am really passionate about business. Gaining experience in marketing and business operations & management has lead to my passion for business. I would love to start my very own business, like a boutique, in the future. Most importantly, I want to make an impact on my community, even if it's small. Pursuing the subjects I'm most passionate about will open the doors for me to bring smiles to my community:).
