Bio

I'm very passionate about helping people. I hope to major in Psychology to help people/children with their mental health as well as learning about the issues so I could help to teach them. Spread awareness about mental health as well as to try to give everyone the opportunity to get accessible help. In the future I hope that my job includes this, I hope to end up being a therapist or psychologist by earning my masters degree.

One skill that has been better now than ever is my writing. I have always enjoyed writing in school, such as essays on topics I was interested in. Although recently I think that I have gotten better at writing, I have started to write journals, memoirs, poems, and even songs. I like to think that I have gotten better at writing, I created a poem for my mom on mothers day, and she cried a lot, so I guess I did well on it. When I turned fifteen, I started writing songs, and I will always be my worst critic, so now I think they were terrible songs, but back then, I thought I had done well on them. I had also attempted to write a book based on past journals and memoirs I had written. I started to write a journal a year ago, expressing whatever was going on at that point in life. I hope that I continue to write and enjoy it. It has been an outlet for the past year, so I hope it continues.

I have always had the challenge of social anxiety throughout my life. When I was younger, I called it being shy. It would be the most challenging talking to my family members. They would think it was rude that I did not talk to them. It took a different turn when I reached my teenage years, and I was terrified of talking to people and even going into stores. It is hard to get people to understand that you feel overwhelmed, even in minor situations. It is problematic because people say that to get over it is to try to talk to people, which I do not think is true. It is all mental, how you feel in these situations and how to handle them. This semester I have had to talk to many people and teachers more, and I have had to push myself to do it mentally. It has had so many good outcomes; now, I am less afraid and have a better mindset on talking to people. I have also started to hang out with my friends more after school because I would always not want to go before. Now that I have, I have more fun and feel less suffocated than before. I have also grown more comfortable talking to my family and engaging in conversations with them.

I have been interested in recently is psychology. I had never really thought about what I wanted to study. I've finally figured out what I want to do with my life in the future. I think that this will be a good fit for me. I've always wanted to know more about the human mind and how it works, and why people think the way that they do sometimes. I've always thought about maybe becoming a therapist or psychologist because I love to talk about different ways to think when things go wrong. I want to be a therapist for kids and teens, I think they need more help now than ever. One problem is my issue with talking to people but I think that I'm getting better at it and I hope to become more comfortable about it. I love hanging deep conversations and learning how to have different mindsets. I hope to help a lot of people going through stuff especially now when life is a bit more rough and kids are different now.
