Hi! My name is Sonsila Goy. I'm a first-generation that is attending Coconino Community College. I'm now in a program that is called CCC2NAU. It's a program that provides an affordable and innovative way for students to complete their bachelor's degrees. I'm currently majoring in nursing to, later on, be a travel nurse. I'm passionate about what I'm majoring in because my aunt has always been my inspiration in working in the medical field and how much she loved caring and helping people. There will be challenges that I'm going to face: paying for college and having many responsibilities, but pushing through will show how it's possible to maintain a healthy life and college. I am the only girl out of the 4 of my siblings, and I want them to envision a life where they are independent and critical thinkers by modeling a lifestyle and furthering their own career goals. My goal is to care for patients suffering in terrible circumstances, show empathy even when it is not the easiest, and provide the best quality of care within my arsenal of skills as a registered nurse. I will strive to create positive relationships with other health care workers and patients to improve the health care environment. I’m also a proud member of the NSLS (The National Society of Leadership and Success)
