Hello! I'm Sofia Suarez. Originally from Cuba, and having lived in Chile, I moved to the US in 2023 with a big goal: pursuing my education in aerospace engineering. It's been quite the journey, and I'm so excited to be diving into a field where I get to figure out how complex things work (especially the ones that zoom through the sky!). My path into STEM wasn't exactly a straight line – picture less 'smooth launch' and more 'bumpy ride with occasional turbulence.' I definitely hit moments of feeling lost, but pushing through taught me a lot about persistence and finding my own way to connect with challenging subjects. I'm incredibly excited about aerospace, I've learned not to give up when things get tough (looking at you, tricky math problems!), and I truly believe that empathy is just as important as technical skill. I'm eager to learn, ready to contribute, and excited to figure out how to build cool things while hopefully being a positive presence along the way.
