As a dedicated mechanical engineering student and a rising sophomore at the University of Michigan, I am deeply passionate about robotics, automotive engineering, and technology. My technical foundation was built through years of FIRST Robotics and an astronomy research internship with the U of M Astronomy Department via Wolverine Pathways. Today, I continue that legacy by mentoring high school students in robotics, helping the next generation learn hands-on. Outside of the lab, my background as an IB graduate and a varsity swim team captain taught me how to balance rigorous academics with leadership, teamwork, and community mentorship. My long-term goals are to innovate in automotive engineering and to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. I believe in using technology to create a positive, lasting impact, and I'm excited to use my education to build safer, innovative systems for the world.

Lynch Engineering Scholarship
To me, engineering is far more than equations; it is a tool to uplift communities and solve real-world human problems. My long-term career goal is to work at the leading edge of advanced mobility, specifically developing affordable and accessible electric vehicles (EVs) so that sustainable transportation isn't a luxury, but a standard everyone can reach.
This vision drives my work beyond the classroom. As a member of the MRacing team, I get a head start working directly on high-performance electric vehicles. This hands-on experience forces me to solve complex technical challenges under pressure, preparing me to innovate the next generation of efficient consumer EVs.
Balancing this intense engineering grind while coming from a low-income background requires constant resourcefulness. Navigating the financial hurdles of college has tested my drive, but it has also solidified my purpose. I know what it means to push through limitations, and that perspective fuels my commitment to giving back. This is why I actively mentor high school students in FIRST Robotics, ensuring the next generation has the guidance to see that their backgrounds do not define their potential.
Receiving the Lynch Engineering Scholarship would directly alleviate my tuition gap, allowing me to shift hours away from financial stress and dedicate them to lab innovation, EV design, and community mentorship. Ultimately, I want to prove that being a low-income student is not a barrier to success, but a powerful launchpad for meaningful, global impact.
Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
Minecraft is a block game where players can build and expand their creativity. When I was seven Minecraft expanded my knowledge on sand and obsidian. It inspired me to learn. Minecraft tested my imagination. My favorite aspects of Minecraft are exploring and crafting.
I first started playing Minecraft with my sister, we would explore together. Minecraft gave us endless exploration. We would gather materials, hop on a boat and explore till we reached the border. We would have checkpoints around our Minecraft world to empty our inventory. Exploring was more enjoyable with my sister. She would always make Minecraft more heart-warming. When we explored we normally looked out for naturally generated structures, like shipwrecks or abandoned villages. There was always something new to uncover, and it kept us begging for more. These structures held treasures like diamonds or special end game items. The most exciting structure we have found was a shipwreck that was on land, which was rare. Shipwrecks are supposed to be deep in the ocean. The ship was also a full boat which made it even more special. We decided to turn this ship into a checkpoint for settling.
Repairing the shipwreck was not easy. The wreck was on shore in a desert, so wood and food was scarce. We had to travel to find wood and basic needs like food in distant forests. Repairing the ship was quite hard since ships were not our forte. Desert and sea zombies, Husk and Drowned, were all over the ship. Fighting and building for the ship was not easy. After 2 days of playing we were able to repair the ship. The excitement of repairing the ship was the cherry on top. We felt good after seeing our masterpiece, it was one of the most beautiful checkpoints we have ever made.
I am a veteran Minecraft player and I still play today. I made unforgettable memories with my sister and our endless adventures. Minecraft has not only sparked my imagination, but also taught me teamwork and the power of creativity. I am grateful for Minecraft being a part of my childhood and I look forward to continuing my virtual journey.
