Bio

Hello, my name is Sianna, and welcome to my profile! I joined the Bold community in hopes to set a clear path for my future in assisting patients with mental health disorders. I, personally, have struggled with depression in my past and had to learn to cope with it on my own. It was very difficult, to say the least, bringing myself out of the saddened state I suffered in. However, realizing a few things about myself pointed me in the direction of becoming a psychiatrist. I now plan to do whatever it takes to become a successful psychiatrist in the future. Not only am I determined to overcome the challenges down the road, and I will be bold when doing so. Everyone is different, and not everyone can overcome varying obstacles dragging them down by themselves. Helping others who may not have the strength to do so themselves is my passion, and I will succeed in my goals!

When contemplating how I am going to “wow” the readers of my essay, I became transfixed on the matter that my personal story values no meaning without the mentioning of my role model. I possess goals and ambitions, but only because of the person that lead me to dream of these goals. A thought occurred to me, and I realized that there is no way I could be where I am today without my Mimi. She is my role model, and this is her story that shaped my own. Mimi grew up living and tending to the farm of her dad’s boss. They were very poor, and with nine siblings, things were quite hectic. Farming, cooking, cleaning, and helping to raise her four younger siblings helped her learn to be an adult at a young age. She was bullied in school for wearing the same outfit multiple times a week, and she had to drop out of school in tenth grade to get a job and make money for her family. Even though nothing in her early life got handed to her, she stayed so positive. She cherished her family more than anything, and she helped out in every way she could. She even went back to get her GED years after leaving school. To this day, Mimi is still the most giving woman I have ever known. She has sacrificed her own money, time, and life to make sure her family, myself included, is in the proper shape. Not only has she achieved everything she could want in life, but she did so against these varying hardships. She is strong, beautifully religious, caring, supportive, and grateful. She deserves the world. Knowing my Mimi’s story encourages me to reconsider my thoughts on life, giving me a positive affirmation that everything will be okay; even if it does not seem like it will be. When deciding what I wanted to do, I became very scatter-brained. I wanted to find something that I was not only passionate about, but also something that will allow me to be the best version of myself. It was not easy narrowing down numerous decisions to one final choice. Should I be a doctor? Maybe a lawyer? While financial stability is a major concern while choosing a career, I wanted to find something that has meaning to me personally. Coming to realize what I wanted to be only occurred after realizing who truly shaped me into who I am today. Mimi molded me into a woman who makes my own decisions based on what is wholesome for me and right by my future family. Staying optimistic in the decision process just as Mimi did when she was younger eventually led to my final decision of becoming a psychiatrist. When I do become this, I hope to reassure others who may be doubtful with life that everything will fall perfectly into the right order. Knowing that I will have the opportunity to provide comfort and support the same as my Mimi has always done for her family is so motivating. Mimi always tells me, “I will always be here for you, baby.” I want to offer the same comfort to my future patients that I feel through those words. I plan to fulfill my future duties as a psychiatrist while always staying confident and appreciative of what I have achieved. Without-a-doubt, my Mimi is the reason I have strived so hard to fulfill my achievements in life. She started from the bottom and rose out of the dirt admirably grateful. Her story and her presence provide a sense of hope to me whenever I feel like I have failed. I know that whenever there may be downfalls, staying positive will eventually turn a stressful situation into a learning experience. I am so ready to pass on what I have learned to future patients of mine and provide comfort and support wholeheartedly.

I have always been an enquiring theorist. Knowing too little about a subject is not enough, and knowing everything is nearly impossible. From my personal viewpoint, knowledge is unbounded. Something new is awaiting, even if it takes different viewpoints to realize this. Take for example the pharmaceuticals that society now has that we did not long ago. This transpired from diverse people who hold extraordinary qualities, and it takes different accounts to gather different results. With that being said, I hope to put my personal account to practice by achieving results through my work as a psychiatrist. Arriving to the conclusion of becoming a psychiatrist was not easy, and I have only recently discovered that this was what I truly yearn for in a potential career. At first, it was a very stressful process searching for a career that suited my criteria. What I did not yet determine was that I needed to truly learn myself and what exactly my criteria was. A few things I concluded about myself after a while of self-examination includes the following: I strive to investigate, I crave knowledge, and I want to achieve an outcome that others may not be able to do. After noticing these qualities, I came to the conclusion that being a psychiatrist suits me flawlessly. With the diversity that society offers, becoming this allows me to enter into the world of others, and experience their personnel view point of life. If I can one day offer my own special qualities through my work, I will have succeeded in my life’s aspirations. In life, we all have motives and drives that lead us to achieve what we yearn to accomplish. Personally, knowledge and success motivate me to become a psychiatrist. I know it will be a long while until I can officially call myself practiced, but the expedition will never truly be over. If I can constantly learn through my patients while helping them learn themselves, I will have fulfilled my desire for success. I anticipate my life-long journey because I know I will regularly learn, offer my assessments to others, and find success through doing so.
