Thinking about my future and what I want to do I found an interest in computers. From a young age I was interested in coding and during high school I took some coding and computer classes to help me. Computers are a great passion of mine as well as piano and singing.
I work as a piano teacher for kids and it’s so fun to see the smile on their face and it’s so nice.
When coding a new project I get a sense of satisfaction when I finish with a project and it’s so refreshing.

Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship - College Award
As years go on and people get older, it’s harder for them to understand technology. One of the main reasons for this is because they didn’t grow up with the technology we have nowadays. Younger generations have grown up with technology all around them. By the age of five they know how to work a tablet, and even know how to work a computer. The older generation still struggle though, and they need the younger generations help to understand the technology.
As a kid I remember playing on the computer and having so much fun with it. I never realized just how much of a struggle other people had with understanding the technology though. As I got older though, I began to realize the need for more computer experts. As technology advances so do humans, but that means we need people who are willing to learn continuously throughout their life to understand the technology that is being created.
When I was around the age of 10 I knew that I wanted to be one of the people who could help others understand technology. So I decided then that I would be a computer programmer. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do, until I went to work one day with my dad. I saw how much he helps others understand the problems with computers and with software. I asked my dad what his job title was and he said a software architect. My junior year of high school I decided I wanted to see what I could accomplish in software development.
I went to Davis technical College and joined their software development program as a junior in high school. I didn’t realize how much I loved it until a couple days after. Coding was the best thing ever and the frustration of it all was hard but even then, I knew this is what I wanted to do.
As my junior year went on I got more and more into coding and more into programming and it helped me realize that was my goal that was going to be my career in life. I decided I was going to be a software architect like my dad, because I wanted to help people like he does. I didn’t want to be just another face among people, but I knew that I wanted to make a difference. The best way to make that difference was to help others understand technology.
I want people to understand technology and I want to be able to help those in need of understanding. I want to be helpful to the older generations and I want to learn throughout my life the best gift ever, and that’s serving people In need of help.
