My number one goal in life has always been to learn. As a first-generation student studying Chemistry at the University of Tampa, I am able to continue pursuing my love for learning. I enjoy being able to enrich my knowledge through traditional learning terminals and immersive experiences. My passions include science, reading, community work, and research. In high school, I was able to volunteer with the YMCA Reads, a program that combined community work and reading to assure elementary students falling behind by county standards improved their comprehension and literacy levels. In middle school, I discovered my love for health and science through various organizations and healthcare professionals. All of the experiences I gathered from these organizations ignited my interest in STEM and challenged me to make a meaningful plan combining all of my passions into a plan for my own future. I hope to implement all of my passions into a career in medicine and the neonatology specialty. As a physician, I plan to represent the communities that do not have the resources and access to adequate healthcare. I plan to continue being a passionate member of the communities I occupy and blend my love for people, community work, education, and medicine into all of my work.
