I am a first-generation immigrant from Raima, a small village in Madhubani, Bihar, India, and a 2026 graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology and a minor in mathematics. Growing up around the consequences of unreliable healthcare led me toward medicine, biomedical research, and service. My research spans molecular genetics, genomics, cell biology, electrophysiology, metabolism, and quantitative modeling. I have used PCR, gel electrophoresis, fluorescence microscopy, mammalian cell culture, bacteriophage genome annotation, R, ColabFold, and ChimeraX while studying Aspergillus nidulans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, bacteriophage Wyvern, crayfish muscle, and RAW264.7 cells. As Chief Scientist for a 20-member NASA L’SPACE team, I help define mission science goals, success criteria, landing-site research, payload selection, and technical review materials for a robotic lunar mission concept. My clinical work as a Patient Safety Assistant at WellSpan Health taught me to support patient safety across emergency, medical-surgical, and critical care settings. Through SANGAM, Arsha Gurukulam, and International Student Services, I have built community and mentored younger and international students. I am a Presidential Scholar and recipient of the Eternal Light of Peace Award. I hope to become a physician-scientist who connects careful research with compassionate, accessible care.
