I've always been fascinated by psychology and neuroscience, and as I grew older, my interest in psychiatry intensified. What draws me to psychiatry is its ability to help people overcome their inner struggles as I spent many of my years, especially in High School helping my friends in overcoming specific personal issues in their lives. Since in high school many of my friends did not feel that the adults in their lives were listening to their issues I believe that psychiatry provides a unique opportunity to assist individuals in conquering their psychological challenges. As a psychiatrist, I would use my understanding of the human mind to help people lead healthier, more satisfying lives hence why I choose to go into psychiatry and become a huge advocate for mental health, especially with those who are minorities and people of all ages.
I also want to become a Family Doctor because I love working with people and helping them improve their health. Personalized care is important to me, and I believe in preventative medicine. You are starting from the root of the problem. Medicine is challenging and exciting, and I want to continue to learn and grow in my career. Becoming a Family Doctor would be fulfilling and rewarding, allowing me to positively impact the lives of others.

quiet
alone but not lonley
But peaceful because I know I will find it
I dont know when but soon
I will find the full moon in the sky
Luminencing in the sky
Its not completely dark
There’s fireflies in the sky
little joys
The more I see little joys the more I realize I am closer to the moon
Even with water filling in my eyes
I can still see the moon
I keep walking on the builded path I made myself
I tripped over tree roots
stab my foot on sharp edged rocks
I even hit my head on the huge rocks
This path I built isnt safe
but I need to go on it
One day I will reach the moon
“What will you do after you reach the moon?”
Go to the next planet
But I wont have fireflies with me
but stars and the moon
White Coat Pending Scholarship
I remember as a kid, I would pretend to be a doctor. Wrapping band-aids all over my stuff animals and using my plastic stethoscope to check my stuffed animal's heartbeat.
As I got older, I noticed that there are children and parents in the underserved communities having a hard time having access to medical resources like doctors and affordable medical insurance. And that's when I decided to be a pediatrician. It was heartbreaking to see kids die at a young age because their parents cannot afford to pay for their kids. I wanted to be a pediatrician to help children, especially those in the underserved communities, feel good about themselves and not miss out on things that children who are not in the underserved communities don't have to worry about. And because of those hefty prices, parents may feel they may skip those doctor appointments because they cannot afford them, and they have to pay for other things like taxes, rent, or even just food to survive. And that's when I thought about lowering the price of those in low-income families to keep their kids safe and not have to make a doctor's appointment once their children's health becomes worse.
I thought that being a pediatrician will help children of all social classes but especially those who are minorities and immigrants, be happy and stable and not miss out on their childhood because of their circumstances. But I learned that's not always the case. Once I reached high school, depression hit me. And it was a hard time for me, my friends, and my family. And it was so bad that it took a toll on my mental, emotional, social, and physical health. The more I started to work on my mental health by talking about it to the people who are close to me, the more I realized that I wanted to be a psychiatrist and a pediatrician. Being a psychiatrist means I could help people, especially those who are from low-income families. People would have to pay about $100-$200 per hour without insurance. And someone who cannot afford a psychiatrist may have to put their mental last because psychiatrists can be expensive. Putting their mental health last can impact all aspects of life as they may become distant from people they love or resort to unhealthy behaviors like drinking, drugs, and other behaviors. Or even resulting in other mental illnesses that are much harder to cure. I was planning instead of low-income families paying $100-$200 without health insurance; I would make one session costing $25. Since that is affordable for everyone regardless of their income, it could help underserving communities have better mental health and have a brighter future.
I want to join the medical field and become a pediatrician and a psychiatrist to help children and adults who are part of the underserving communities have better access to basic health needs to survive. I don't want to see people suffering just because they don't have money to access medical needs.

According to Salvador Dami, "A true artist is not one who inspired, but one who inspires others." He is not wrong. A few years ago, I learned how homelessness is a crisis in many countries, especially in America. Homeless people in America are treated less than human. And I also learned that some animal shelter places were treating animals so poorly.
So I thought of something that would make a difference. I would buy a small property of land or even a building that is not used anymore and turning into a facility for homeless people and animals like dogs and cats having a safe environment. And this is when my artistic ambition comes in. There would be art-related programs.
I choose art-related programs for homeless people because even a little exposure to art can affect their mood by making them happier, peaceful, or even inspired to do something greater than art, which is good life skills. Homeless people and animals in abusive places need to feel calmer after all that abuse both homeless and animal face. And it is a perfect opportunity for animals and people to create relationships with each other. Also, having a pet will decrease loneliness, blood pressure, and increased socializing, exercise, and other outdoor activities.
There would also be programs to help homeless people cook meals for themselves and the animals. Eventually, when they acquired all the mental skills that will finally bring them to some level of peace, whether playing an instrument, painting, singing, building, etc... the people will get a check from my pocket. They can buy a house and eventually getting a job. One of the many things required to get a job is a place for permanent residency.
The benefit of this idea is that art teachers would have an opportunity to teach art since many schools cut budgets on art programs. This would be an opportunity for art teachers to teach art and still get paid for it.
Overall this scholarship would help me start an organization that would help me get an art degree and be able to teach art in my free time for homeless people.
