    1) My experience from working as a cart attendant at MacGregor Downs has taught me that my role is beyond keeping carts stocked up and clean. It has honed my communication skills, which was a valuable life skill. Greeting members at the club and being the one to initiate conversations with them has taught me the power of small talk. My commitment towards providing exceptional customer service has helped me realize that there could be so many different topics to talk about with a stranger that we could really connect over helping foster a sense of community. I also demonstrate teamwork by offering to cover shifts for colleagues or working with managers to find a mutually beneficial schedule as a solution. These experiences have instilled the importance of clear communication and collaboration. I have also become very aware of the importance of having a positive attitude and being kind to others. I believe that this attitude and behavior are the essence of being a successful college athlete in the future as well. 2) Computer Science is a field that has always excited me with the endless possibilities it offers to implement in our daily life. I have realized that while writing a code, every single piece is carefully placed which contributes to the overall grand design, much like the satisfying ‘click’ of a solved Rubik's cube. I appreciate things which have a logical flow of events to arrive at a desired outcome, therefore this aspect of my chosen major really resonates with the approach I have had for challenges I have had in my sports career. It is a field which requires continuous learning, and I am confident of possessing the skills and qualities required to be successful in it. This major is a field of science that is dynamic and ever evolving, which means I will be presented with new challenges everyday allowing me to grow as a person and achieve my full potential . I cannot wait to start this journey of discovery and understanding the inner workings of technology, eventually making meaningful contributions that hopefully would “click” with the world that we would be living in. 3) My experience of volunteering with Awaaz Foundation during the pandemic ignited a passion for social good. Managing the allocation of essential COVID - 19 resources like oxygen cylinders, ventilators, and medicines in India through social media platforms showed me the transformative power of community collaboration. In college, I plan to continue this mission by joining the Habitat for Humanity club, where I can directly contribute to building homes in the Greater High Point area. I'm also interested in a club that combats food waste by donating leftover meals, an issue I became keenly aware of while managing resources at Awaaz. I am also planning on being a part of the Bonner Leaders Program as it is meant to connect students to the social innovation projects happening around HPU, my new home. Being a part of this organization would allow me to leave college with influence from extraordinary mentors, a dense network of community support and skills for any real life scenarios. 4) I am going to be joining the High Point Men's Golf team as a freshman. Managing practice, competition, travel, academics and social life can seem like a daunting task sometimes in a different environment from high school, but having a group of mentors that were former NCAA golfers themselves would help me navigate through my college journey in a more mature manner. I strongly believe in becoming the best possible version of myself, and being a recipient of this college would motivate me to give my hundred and twenty percent in all of the fronts while I’m experiencing the four most transformative years of my life and golf journey. Being a recipient of this college would significantly reduce the financial burden of going to college on my parents as it would be used towards covering costs like swing lessons, housing, meal plans and other miscellaneous costs.
