My goals is to become a family law attorney. I will be attending ECU in the fall of 2024 and studying criminal justice. I have competed nationally and locally in the sport of Track and Field. My specialties are sprinting, hurdling, and the Long and Triple Jump. In my down time, I love to read, spend time with family, or go help out in the community.
I have studied French since 6th grade and had the wonderful opportunity to go to Paris and Franch in 2022 and had a wonderful time and learned a lot.

Nintendo Super Fan Scholarship
My favorite Nintendo game is Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch. It brings out my creativity as well as my competitiveness. I love how my family comes together and plays and when we have guests come over, they start off like they don't want to play, but after the 1st round of tracks, they want to play again.
My most memorable moment is when my younger sister was starting to learn how to play. She couldn't hold the controller right, but it never failed like clockwork, she seemed to always win a board or two. As she has gotten older, she's gotten better. Another time we decided to take on Mom and Dad. Everything was going well. I was in first place, and I was doing great dodging the shells and banana peels. Then all of a sudden from the corner of my screen I see the 1st place shell (that's what we call it in our house) and my mother zipping right by me to cross the finish line in first place. She gets up and was dancing around because she had gotten the shell last round so, she wanted her redemption. All in all, it was a great night. But in order to get those competitive juices flowing and having great family time, Mario Kart on the Switch will always be my go-to game.

I have been running track since I was in the 6th grade. Track comes with a lot of mental strength as well as physical strength. Being consistent with a sport takes a lot of energy and a lot of restraint on your own personal body. There are times where it may begin as easy, but as time goes on, those tasks can become more difficult. From there you must ask yourself "do I complete said task or quit?” For me, the time when hard work paid off was when I was learning how to Triple Jump for the first time. I practiced it on Monday but couldn’t get the technique down. My foot just wanted to do its own thing. I practiced more in my driveway the next day. I started to get the hang of it but was still unsure about foot placement. Wednesday at practice, my coach and I practiced some more, but I kept getting frustrated because my footwork and my mind wasn’t on the same page. I had a National meet on Friday and wanted to do my best but was so scared the training I received would have failed me. But I kept practicing and listening to what he said as he guided me through the steps. When Friday came around, I did some practice jumps that morning and was waiting for my event to be called. The first two jumps I scratched, so I was already starting to come down on myself. My coach looked at me and told me to believe in myself and remember the training. On my last Jump attempt, not only did I jump correctly, but I jumped the farthest and earned 1st place in Triple Jump.
By me trusting in my coach, my team and myself and being resilient, I became a teacher in the specialty and was able to help others on my team achieve their personal records and earn medals. Track has shaped me to be a fair and strong leader. There were times when we had a change in coaching staffs, and it was on me to ensure the team listened and carried out what was asked of us. I noticed that the younger athletes watched everything I said I did and would call me out when I swayed off the path.
My goal for college is to become a lawyer. I plan on studying criminal justice and to continue running track. I was to be active in the community by advocating and representing those underrepresented communities of families whose voice is ignored due to their circumstances. I want to be their voice and help them get their voices back.

Any contribution that anyone could make is information and having the lines of care open and available. There are so many times people do not know there are free avenues to be seen in regard to various mental health crisis. I would have continual workshops bringing in various advocates and professionals to the community, which would normalize mental health assistance in the African American community. I would also talk to local officials in communicating up to the state and national government officials in policy changes that should occur in making healthcare affordable. If not on a national level, the local officials can make those changes.

When faced with the question, "What could go wrong?" our minds often gravitate towards negative scenarios and potential pitfalls. However, instead of dwelling on the pessimistic aspects, let us embark on a creative journey to explore what could go wrong in a more imaginative and unconventional manner. By embracing the unexpected, we can uncover hidden possibilities, learn valuable lessons, and ultimately find innovative solutions to unforeseen challenges.
In a world where everything seems uncertain, there is beauty in embracing the unpredictable and finding creative ways to navigate through potential obstacles. So, what could go wrong? Let's dive into a realm of imagination and explore some unconventional scenarios.
Imagine a scenario where time suddenly becomes a fluid concept. Days blend into nights, and deadlines become a thing of the past. While this may seem chaotic at first, it opens up a world of possibilities for creativity and exploration. Without the constraints of time, we can delve deeper into our passions, experiment without fear of failure, and discover new avenues for growth.
Now, let's envision a scenario where technology takes an unexpected turn. Artificial intelligence becomes self-aware and decides to rewrite the rules of the digital world. As our reliance on technology intensifies, this disruption could lead to chaos and confusion. However, it also presents an opportunity for us to reassess our relationship with technology, find innovative solutions, and redefine our understanding of human potential.
In another imaginative scenario, imagine a world where communication becomes purely telepathic. Words are no longer spoken or written but transmitted directly from mind to mind. While this may initially lead to misunderstandings and misinterpretations, it also fosters a deeper sense of empathy and understanding. By relying on telepathy, we are forced to truly listen and connect with one another on a profound level, transcending linguistic barriers.
Now, let's explore a scenario where failure becomes a celebrated aspect of life. Rather than fearing mistakes, society embraces them as stepping stones to growth and innovation. This radical shift in perspective reshapes the way we approach challenges and fosters a culture of experimentation and resilience. Through embracing failure, we unlock our true potential and discover new paths towards success.
In this creative exploration of what could go wrong, we have ventured into the realms of imagination and discovered unconventional scenarios that challenge our traditional notions of success and failure. By embracing the unexpected, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities and growth. These imaginative scenarios allow us to reflect on the importance of adaptability, resilience, and innovation in the face of adversity.
While the question, "What could go wrong?" often evokes fear and uncertainty, approaching it from a creative perspective enables us to find unique solutions and turn challenges into opportunities. By embracing the unexpected and thinking outside the box, we can navigate through the complexities of life with a sense of curiosity and resilience.
So, the next time you encounter the question, "What could go wrong?" don't be afraid to unleash your imagination, explore unconventional scenarios, and envision a world where challenges are met with creativity and innovation. Embrace the unexpected, for it is through the unexpected that we find the most extraordinary solutions.

College is something that many high school students want to pursue. We want to be able to get a great job in the passion we want to work in, but getting there takes a strong support group, a ton of information, and a plan and path on how to get there. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome in the pursuit of higher education was just having the courage to fill out those numerous college and scholarship applications. Talking to various leaders, teachers, coaches and neighbors for recommendation letters. Knowing the time spent, effort put in, and the dedication exhausted, but having the thoughts in the back of your mind all your hard work could turn into a rejection letter. For me, I must admit, I procrastinated several months in filling out college applications. I had a plan and knew what I wanted but the anxiety I felt every time I went to actually go to the website and fill out the information was overwhelming. I realized my anxiety didn't go unnoticed when my mother came in my room and sat with me and talked with me about it being normal to have the fear because it is a big milestone for me. She also told me not to let fear keep me from doing what I wanted to do. After our talk, she gave me the courage to put in several college and scholarship applications and because of that I was accepted into one of my top choice college, East Carolina University and I am so excited or the next chapter in my life.

I want to be able to give back to my community by making a positive impact by addressing the importance of support to those dealing with various issues and connecting professional networks to help shape and minimize the impact of family instability.
