I am passionate about dance educator. I wants to grow and continue to learn as a dancer and an educator. The desires I have to be an excellent and inspiring dance educator and performer with the hopes and dreams to own multiple dance studios and outreach programs for the less fortunate. In my own words “I want to be a motivational speaker for the youth. I dream to make a change not only in dance but also in the world. I want to inspire young black girls in the dance world and provide a safe place for them. I also want them to understand they can dance and be excellent at it. Dance teaches discipline, growth, commitment, and time. Through dance, I have learned that it takes time to perfect your craft as an artist or creator. ” I am a Dance Education Major at Drexel University. I am doing the BS/MS program. I would like to own a dance studio and company one day. I would also like to be in a dance company, but I would also like to have a performing arts outreach program for the less fortunate children. I want to motivate and be a listening ear to our youth and those around me. Dance education is essential. It teaches discipline, growth, commitment, and time. Some of the hardships that I have overcame was lossing my brother to Gun violence my sophmore year, losing my job recently, and struggling to pay my college bill alone. College is extremely important to me because it is a way to open up doors I never thought I had access too. College is the last plast my brother an I had a conversation aboit achieving goals and how much her was proud of me. I am not only doing this for me but for him as well. I wan to fight to achieve owning a dance company and outreach program for children who can’t afford not only dance but performing arts. I want to inspire young black girls in the dance world and provide a safe place for them. I also want them to understand they can dance and be excellent at it.
