Bio

I am a 47-year-old single mother of five with over 10 years of experience working in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Throughout my career, I have provided compassionate, hands-on care to patients while balancing the responsibilities of raising a family. My work has strengthened my resilience, empathy, and commitment to serving others in demanding environments. I am currently pursuing my second degree in healthcare to expand my knowledge, advance my career, and create greater stability for my family. Returning to school later in life has required sacrifice and determination, but I am motivated to set a strong example for my children by demonstrating perseverance and the importance of lifelong learning. In addition to my academic goals, I have a genuine interest in real estate as a form of supplemental income to help support my family and build long-term financial security. This interest reflects my commitment to planning for the future and providing consistent opportunities for my children. Outside of work and school, I maintain balance through recreational activities such as volleyball, which helps me manage stress, stay active, and remain focused. Receiving this scholarship would ease the financial burden of completing my education and allow me to fully dedicate myself to my studies while supporting my family and continuing my work in healthcare.

I am a 47-year-old single mother of five with over 10 years of healthcare experience working in hospitals as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Cath Lab technologist, and surgery scheduler. Throughout my career, I have provided compassionate, hands-on care to patients while balancing the responsibilities of raising a family. Working closely with patients during vulnerable moments has strengthened my empathy, resilience, and ability to remain dependable in demanding and emotionally challenging environments. These experiences have shaped my desire to continue growing within the healthcare field and to contribute in a more specialized and impactful way. Education has always been important to me as a pathway to stability, opportunity, and service. I am currently pursuing my second degree in healthcare with the goal of becoming an Echocardiographer. Returning to school later in life has required dedication, sacrifice, and persistence, but I am motivated by both my professional goals and my responsibility as a parent. I strive to set a strong example for my children by demonstrating the importance of perseverance, hard work, and lifelong learning. As an Echocardiographer, I hope to play a critical role in helping patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses of heart conditions. Cardiovascular disease affects people of all ages and backgrounds, and early detection can significantly improve outcomes. By performing and interpreting cardiac imaging, I will help physicians identify abnormalities, guide treatment decisions, and monitor patient progress. This role allows me to combine my hands-on patient care experience with advanced technical skills, ensuring patients feel informed, respected, and supported throughout their care. In addition to my academic and professional goals, I have a genuine interest in real estate as a form of supplemental income to support my family and build long-term financial stability. This interest reflects my commitment to planning for the future and providing consistent opportunities and security for my children. Outside of work and school, I maintain balance through participating in recreational activities such as volleyball several days a week, which helps me manage stress, stay active, and remain focused. Maintaining this balance allows me to perform effectively in both my studies and my work. Receiving this scholarship would ease the financial demands of completing my education and allow me to focus fully on my academic goals. I am deeply committed to my future in healthcare and driven by the desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while building a stable, secure future for my family.
