One of a kind love
The question ¨ What are u going to do in the future?¨, has been one of the most frequently asked questions and arguably the most daunting we have faced throughout high school. The constant pressure to choose a path that will determine the rest of our lives can be overwhelming. For me, the answer has always been rooted in my love for animals but not because they're cute and fluffy although it is a factor but because of the genuine connection I had with them, one I couldn't replicate with people. I want to become a veterinarian to help those who cannot speak yet fill our lives with so much love and joy. Being their advocate feels like a calling, and I'm excited to dedicate my future to making a difference in their lives.
My childhood was not that best and even now, life can be pretty rough. But through it all, the only thing that has constantly made me feel loved and cared for are animals. Their love is so pure, so warm, truly something special. As the youngest child, I've often felt like the one “left
out,” never the first option. It’s a lonely feeling, and the world can feel so cruel and dark at times. But the love of a special companion like a little dog, a cat, a bird, or maybe even a lizard the list is never ending, has always been a blessing. Their presence brings light to even the darkest of days, reminding me that there is good in the world. This bond I've experienced with animals is what drives me to become a veterinarian. I want to dedicate my life to caring for these incredible beings who ask for so little yet give so much. They've been my lifeline in tough times, and I want to be theirs when they need someone the most. To give back a fraction of the love they've given to me would be a dream come true.
Veterinarians not only make a positive impact on animal life but they have a profound impact on the lives of those who treat their pets as their families. Taking care of our mental well being is absolutely essential and we often find that pets are the best in this situation. You begin to see life a little more enjoyable with a companion who will never leave your side. They are the truest form of demonstrating love by actions and not words. By diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses in animals, vets help improve quality of life for pets, livestock, and even wildlife. Veterinarians also contribute to public health by monitoring and controlling diseases that can spread from animals to humans ensuring safer communities.
In conclusion, in the future I see myself thriving to be a veterinarian. Although the journey may be rough and complicated, I'm passionate about where I'm heading too and am excited for this next chapter of my life. I will finally be able to help those who helped me in my darkest of times, animals. Not only that but I will ensure their health and fight for those in crucial conditions. My story has just begun and I'm excited about what new adventures this path will bring me.
