FinalistBio
My name is Shannon Evelyn Williams, and I am a passionate Caribbean Afro-Latina American student dedicated to transforming lives through education, mental health advocacy, and socially responsible business leadership. I come from a rich cultural background—Garifuna, Arawak, and Afro-Caribbean—and my resilience is deeply rooted in that heritage. I am an BIPOC.
I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and I plan to earn a second degree in Human Services. My goal is to use my education to build trauma-informed businesses, advocate for mental wellness, and open doors for Black and marginalized communities. I believe we deserve safe spaces to heal, lead, and thrive.
I’m a strong candidate because I bring more than just academic potential—I bring lived experience, empathy, and a powerful drive to create lasting change. Every challenge I’ve faced has shaped me into a woman of purpose, and I’m committed to using my voice and my education to build a legacy rooted in justice, healing, and love.
