My name is Shania, and I’m a senior majoring in Criminal Justice with a focus on Criminalistics at Saint Leo University. Originally from Grand Bahama, Bahamas, I’m deeply passionate about using my education to make a meaningful impact in the field of justice. With a strong interest in forensic science, I’m driven by the desire to ensure fairness and accountability in our legal systems through evidence collection, preservation, and documentation. Beyond academics, I am committed to fostering inclusive communities. I’ve served in various leadership roles such as Orientation Leader, Peer Mentor, and a Peer Educator for the Violence Education Prevention Program. These experiences have not only shaped my leadership abilities but also deepened my dedication to supporting others and creating safe, empowering spaces. I’m also a member of the PAWS (Peer Advocacy Wellness and Support) club, where I promote wellness and mental health awareness. As a creative, open-minded individual, I strive to balance my academic pursuits with my personal interests, such as dance and music, which allow me to connect with others and nurture my passion for cultural awareness. My life goal is to contribute to a more just and inclusive world, using both my knowledge and my experiences to mentor and inspire others. I believe my unique blend of leadership, academic focus, and commitment to service makes me a strong candidate who is not only ready to succeed but also eager to uplift and inspire those around me.
