I am currently an accelerated nursing student with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and additional coursework in Computer Science. I have over three years of work experience as a Medical Assistant in pediatrics. Working directly with patients has shown me the impact that healthcare professionals can have on patients' lives when they're at their most vulnerable. It has allowed me to develop a passion for patient care and being there for diverse communities. Balancing work and school has strengthened my time management and commitment to my goals. My experiences in healthcare have pushed me to play an active role in patient care and patient advocacy. My goal is to become a registered nurse, continue my education with a BSN and a Master's in Nursing, and, hopefully, teach future nurses. I hope to combine clinical experience with education to help prepare the next generation of nurses while continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of patients and families.
