Through various experiences like being the colonel of my school's pep squad sophomore year and being a two-time varsity cheer co-captain. Semira (Sa-meer-a) Hebrew origin “Sa-my-ra?” The sub calls, "Is Sa-my-ra here?” A sheepish grin evolves from my lips as I say, “Here and it’s Sa-meer-a.” This exchange has happened so many times that I have basically given up on correcting people. However, when I learned that “Semira” means “Fulfilled”. My name became less of an obstacle and more of a reflection of me and my family. I look at my name as a proud representation of my mom and strive to have a positive mindset in spite of challenges I might encounter in response to it. This was one of the most notable features of growing up. I am a military kid. Growing up with a military parent is the frequent relocations that often accompany the life of a military family. Moving from one place to another, sometimes across countries or even continents, can be a regular occurrence for children in these families. While moving can offer opportunities to experience new cultures and environments, it also means constantly saying goodbye to friends, schools, and familiar surroundings. Adapting to new schools and making new friends can be a significant challenge, requiring children to develop strong social skills and resilience. Just from moving around I have found the profession I wish to pursue. I want to pursue being a teacher and coach as well. Through teaching and coaching, I aim to give back to the students and create a transformative learning experience. My goal is to be a positive role model for my students and athletes, assisting them in developing into confident, civic responsible, engaged members of society. I am currently attending Texas State University majoring in Education as well as Minoring in ESS Coaching to get the knowledge I need to teach the future generation.

I have a dream. Semira: Hebrew origin meaning fulfilled. I will fulfill my dream. Like MLK said, I have a dream. Dreams are the essence of human spirit, and mine are rooted in a college education. Like a flourishing tree, my understanding of the world around me and the possibilities it holds will expand within the nurturing environment a college provides. With every course, every volunteer work, every internship, and every acquaintance, my college education will broaden my horizons and elevate my understanding of what I can contribute to my community and the world at large. My dream is to be a teacher and coach. As a teacher, I aim to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students can explore their potential, gain knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills. I believe in fostering a love for learning and encouraging creativity to help students thrive academically and personally. Beyond the academic realm, I also recognize the importance of character development and the role it plays in shaping well-rounded individuals. This is where coaching comes into play. Teaching as well as coaching allows me to guide students in their personal and interpersonal growth, teaching them essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and resilience. Through sports or other extracurricular activities, I want to instill in my students the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and a strong work ethic. By fostering a positive and supportive team environment, I hope to build not only skilled athletes but also confident individuals who are ready to face challenges head-on. Furthermore, I am committed to staying current with educational research and best practices. I will continuously seek professional development opportunities to enhance my teaching and coaching skills. By integrating innovative teaching methods, leveraging technology, and collaborating with colleagues, my objective is to create a positive environment. Ultimately, my goal is to be a positive role model for my students and athletes, assisting them in developing into confident, empathetic, and successful individuals. Do you remember 2020 when the whole world went on a complete shut down. People were sick and a lot of families were affected. As a middle schooler at the time I didn’t really understand the whole shutdown. I looked at it as more of a break from going to school that just went terribly wrong, and that’s where my story begins. It was February 2020 and I was walking home from school when I got a text from some old friends saying that a close friend of mine had just passed away. I didn’t want to believe it until I saw a post from her social media from her parents confirming it. On the sidewalk I had broken down into tears and fallen to my knees. This was a heartache no one should ever feel. After some time of grief I learned to keep going because of this friend. She was so positive and never let anything get to her, so I know she would want me to do the same. Let’s move the story along, it is now September of 2020. I have gotten back on my feet but we are now in online school. Being alone gave me time to handle my own grief and get myself back in the right mindset but what happens next makes my world go upside down. I met these amazing girls when I moved states and they became my best friends. We were so excited to go into high school together when another tragedy struck. It was 9 am on what I thought was a good September day when I got a message from my best friend's mom saying that she had passed away the night before. My heart ached for months after and till this day I still celebrate both of my friends' birthdays. Both of them passed away from suicide at very young ages. They are my drive to keep going and pushing forward because I know that they would want me to achieve my goals. They have inspired me to become a teacher and make a positive change in a teens life. Teachers are with teens more than they are home. If I have the ability to change someone’s life I plan on doing it. Till this day I still think about them and all the obstacles we went through together. I know they wouldn’t want me to live in sadness forever so I live in remembrance with the advice and knowledge that they left me with before flying high. I learned to live in the present and enjoy every moment of life. I want to pass on the same knowledge while also being a safe place for students.

I want to fulfill more, and I deserve this scholarship opportunity. Here is why. Studying and learning amid the global pandemic that has happened was quite challenging. I am proud to say I have overcome quite a bit on my educational journey. I am an ambivert and extremely hyper but anxious around others. I also survived "Zoom" and remote learning. Online learning is not the ideal way to learn or take classes. However, I persevered and maintained an A+ average graduating with a 3.7 gpa. This I am proud of. My field of study will be math education coupled with kinesiology/ess coaching. My goal is to become a teacher and coach and to combine the sports aspect to keep students engaged as a part of my teaching practice. I want to help other children and teens like me. I want to help those who may be suffering with school and sports mentally and physically—those who struggle or are injured. I also want to highlight the importance of education for children and youth. It is critical and vital to their growth and development. A proper education, on the other hand, does solve problems. Years of research show that it is intricately linked to everything that we as a nation say we want for our children and demand from our schools: academic achievement, social and emotional development, and equitable opportunity. Teachers help close a gap that has left many children behind. Low-income children often do not get access to great education. Developed new education enables children from a financially challenged background to have a more level playing field with children who have had those enrichment experiences. I want every child to experience fun sports and enrichment learning no matter their background. Ultimately, my goal is to be a positive role model for my students and athletes, assisting them in developing into confident, empathetic, and successful individuals. By merging my passion for teaching and c coaching, I strive to create a significant influence on the youth, motivating them to embrace lifelong learning and civic responsibility. I aspire to empower my students to evolve into critical thinkers, empathetic individuals, and engaged members of society. My name holds history your scholarship will help me fulfill my dreams.

From losing both of my very good friends I’ve spent my high school years understanding what I want to do with my future to make a difference. I’ve fallen upon studying math as well as being a teacher. Math teaches us how to use our brain to solve mathematical problems and errors. With teaching I would be able to make a difference in someone’s life so no one has to go through the loss of a friend. As I pursue my education I will be attending Texas State University. I am trying my best to not take out any loans to not put my single mother in debt while also having to take care of my brother. Winning this scholarship would greatly help my family and my future.

Most people go to Friday Night Lights to sit in the bleachers and enjoy the football game, but not I. I enjoy flipping along the sidelines for the eruption the fans give you when seeing you doing the thing you love most. Although I have favorite aspects of cheer, everything about cheering makes me who I am and how much of a better person I am. Cheerleading is single-handedly the most meaningful to me, without it I couldn’t even begin to tell the story of me. Cheerleading is more than just a sport or activity; it has the extraordinary ability to shape and complete an individual's identity. When transitioning into high school after cheering my whole life I decided to tryout for school cheer at my brand new high school that had just opened. I was apart of the very first varsity cheer team as a junior. I then tried out for an officer position and received co captain. This happened not once but twice! As a two-time cheer co-captain, I have undoubtedly experienced numerous challenges, triumphs, and personal growth throughout my journey. My role as a leader within the cheerleading squad has not only showcased my dedication and passion for the sport but has also provided me with valuable insights into my own character and aspirations for the future. Being selected as a cheer co-captain not once, but twice, is a remarkable accomplishment that speaks volumes about my leadership abilities, work ethic, and interpersonal skills. In this role, I have had the opportunity to inspire and motivate teammates, coordinate practices and performances, and serve as a role model for younger members of the squad. My commitment to excellence and willingness to go above and beyond have undoubtedly contributed to the success of the team and fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among its members.Through my experiences as a cheer co-captain, I have undoubtedly learned a great deal about myself and my capabilities. I have discovered the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a leadership role. I have honed my organizational skills and learned how to balance the demands of school, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. I have also developed a greater sense of self-confidence and resilience in the face of adversity, learning to overcome challenges and setbacks with grace and determination. Moreover, my time as a cheer co-captain has undoubtedly shaped my aspirations for the future. As I look ahead to the next chapter of your life, I found myself drawn to opportunities that allow me to continue to lead, inspire, and make a positive impact on others. I choose to pursue a career in coaching and education to continue my passion and pass it along. Through personal growth, building strong relationships, and instilling a profound sense of purpose, cheerleading has empowered me as an individual to become confident, resilient, and compassionate. My goal is to be a positive role model for my students and athletes, assisting them in developing into confident, empathetic, and successful individuals. By merging my passion for teaching and cheer coaching, I strive to create a significant influence on the youth, motivating them to embrace lifelong learning and become valuable members of society. I aspire to empower my students to be critical thinkers, compassionate individuals, and engaged contributors to society.

Moving from one place to another, sometimes across countries or even continents, can be a regular occurrence for children in these families. From what I can remember, I have lived in England, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, and now Texas. While moving can offer opportunities to experience new cultures and environments, it also means constantly saying goodbye to friends, schools, and familiar surroundings. Adapting to new schools and making new friends can be a significant challenge, requiring children to develop strong social skills and resilience. So I guess what I mean with all this is that I don’t have a set area or remembrance to a particular environment to which I was raised. m Additionally, my mother was deployed twice. This separation can be emotionally difficult for children, who must learn to cope with the absence of a parent and navigate the complex emotions that come with it. My mother is a single mother with two children. Having her leave was such a hard experience that I have. Although having the hardships when she came back from her second deployment I knew that Texas was my forever home. I could not have done anything without my mother. She has completely devoted her time to always making sure my brother and I were taken care of. With moving I have found my passion for my future career. In the heart of a bustling city like San Antonio, amidst the discordance of daily life, a single moment unfolded like a silent crescendo, birthing a dedication that would forever tether my spirit to the pulse of my community. As a cheerleader we serve in many ways. Other than going to football games and basketball games we do many different activities to serve our community but this one was special. This past year in 2023 we had a very unfortunate passing of our very own head custodian Max Garcia. He was there when our school first opened in 2022 and spent his life dedicated to being helpful and kind to more than just the teachers and admin but to the students as well. Personally I would have conversations with him and always offer my help when needed or even if he didn’t want my help. When he passed it absolutely broke my heart. To honor his life, myself and other cheerleaders gathered with many people from our school, came together under our school tree called our heritage tree. This tree is a sign of memory to our school opening, and we had a candlelight vigil for him. This moment is what made me want to always serve my community and be dedicated to bring people together. Since his passing I made it my mission to always be doing something that was for our community and serve in and out of school. Being in a leadership position in cheer I was able to put my input and ideas in when it came to serving. I have participated in bus drives, food drives, teacher appreciation, Special Olympics, and clean ups around the school just like Max would’ve wanted. One particular serving event that touched my heart truly was volunteering for a Food Bank food drive. During this food drive families in need drove all around our different stations and were able to get food, water, milk, etc to fit their family needs. This experience showed me how much the Food Bank provides for others and just being their helping showed me how others don’t just have what I have. Families that rode around were thanking us for just giving them the extra help they needed no matter the circumstances. During this time I felt that I was really doing what Max loved the most. He was always paying it forward to other people with expecting nothing in return. That shows true gratitude and integrity which is why I look up to him so much. In a world that can often feel divided and chaotic, paying it forward offers a glimmer of hope and a reminder that kindness and compassion are powerful forces for good. It's a simple yet profound way to make the world a better place, one act of generosity at a time. Max was such a bright soul and throughout my high school journey of meeting him I honor the things he has done for us and my school. He always had our school looking prestigious and sparkling everyday since it opened. I intend to continue doing what I can in the school to help because I know that is what Max would’ve wanted.

My first two years I was in the pep squad which is a combination of cheer and dance to help you try out for those activities. For my first year I was a member however my second year I tried out for an officer position and became the Colonel of pep squad which is the highest ranking position. I led my team to amazing victories and had an amazing year with new people and building new friendships. For my next two years I moved high schools and decided I would pursue cheerleading again after not doing full cheer activities for a few years. I made varsity for my first year as junior at a brand new school! Again I tried out for an officer position and received co-captain. The officer line was exciting just to make history as the first cheer officers ever. This is now my senior year and I have made varsity and co-captain for a second year and still have memories to make with the team I have now. In my cheer era I was always the mc at pep rallies. My job was to hype up the crowd with games, the spirit chant, and senior circle. From the spirit chant I was called the boogie girl per our chant that says “to boogie boogie boogie a boogie down”. This revolving name went all the way around to homecoming for my campaign. I gave out printed fake money with my face and said vote for your boogie girl. This was a huge success and I ended up winning homecoming queen! As the cheer season started to end, prom season started to rise. For prom I ran for most spirited as our senior superlatives. I gave out goodie bags, bubbles, playdoh, and much more. Being seniors we are always trying to relive our childhood memories so these were a big hit. At prom I successfully campaigned enough and by student body vote I was sashed most spirited. From hyping people up, to helping, to campaigning I have shown a lot of school spirit in my school. As the first ever high school my name is all around. I’m more than honored to be apart of our schools history and these memories will forever last. Being in these officer positions has made me a better person and has taught me how to be a mentor. Mentorship is a deeply rewarding experience for many individuals and was/is an honor to do while building strong bonds based on trust, respect, and mutual learning. I intend to use this mentorship that I have learned over the years to contribute to the growth and development of others when I become a coach. By sharing wisdom, experiences, and guidance to help shape the future of the community and contribute to personal and professional success I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Additionally, my mother was deployed twice. Despite the challenges, Texas has brought a sense of community and camaraderie. The tight-knit support networks and meeting other military families has helped me develop bonds with people since middle school. I have created friendships that can last a lifetime and they have provided me with a sense of belonging and solidarity. Just from moving around I have found the profession I wish to pursue. When furthering my education in college I plan on attending Texas State University to earn a degree in Education and a minor in ESS Coaching. I have had some profound teachers and coaches over the years of moving. I know that I want to be apart of children’s and teens lives to make a difference. In conclusion, growing up with a military parent is a unique experience that comes with its own set of challenges and rewards. The lifestyle of constant change, separation, and sacrifice can be difficult for children, requiring them to develop resilience, adaptability, and strength of character. However, the values of discipline, service, and community that are instilled in military families can also shape children in positive ways, equipping them with important skills and values that can benefit them throughout their lives. Ultimately, my experience of growing up with a military parent is one that can shape children into resilient, compassionate, and capable individuals.

From this I have really learned to not take things or people for granted. I would spend my days having conversation with him and taking each of them for granted. To further my education I plan on attending Texas State University to peruse a degree in education and minor in sports coaching. Throughout my academic journey at Texas State, I will pursue relevant courses and training in education, child psychology, and sports coaching to enhance my understanding and abilities in these fields. As a teacher and coach, my focus is not only on imparting knowledge and skills but also on building a supportive and compassionate community that nurtures each individual's unique strengths. By combining my love for teaching and passion for cheer coaching, I aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people, inspiring them to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society. I want to empower my students to become critical thinkers, compassionate individuals, and active contributors to society. I plan on taking nothing for granted and living every minute remembering and taking in the time that has been lost with the time I already spent taking my people for granted.

However, this changed when I learned that “Semira” means “Fulfilled”. In school I have always been focused on keeping up on my grades and maintaining a high gpa. Outside of the classroom I have been a cheerleader all my life and continued this activity in highschool. Before trying out for cheer I was a part of pep squad. I tried out for an officer position my sophomore year and received Colonel, which is the captain in fancy terms. Junior year I tried out for cheer. I have not only been on varsity for two years but also the co-captain for two years. Each time I did something someone doubted me or said I couldn’t do it. One would say I fulfilled what I set out to do. From learning from different people and also different high school graduates over the years I have decided on what my academic goals will involve. From their influence, I want to pursue being a teacher and coach as well. It stems from my passion for both education and empowering young individuals. As a teacher, I aim to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students can explore their potential, gain knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills. I believe in fostering a love for learning and encouraging creativity to help students thrive academically and personally. As a coach, I aspire to inspire young athletes to push their boundaries, develop self-discipline, and build resilience both on and off the field. I want to continue cheering in college to gain more knowledge as I attend college. I plan on pursuing a degree in Mathematics while receiving a teacher certification while also studying a minor degree in Kinesiology to further understand the movements of the body and how to keep my future athletes healthy. Teaching as well as coaching allows me to guide students in their personal and interpersonal growth, teaching them essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and resilience. Through sports or other extracurricular activities, I aim to instill in my students the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and a strong work ethic. By fostering a positive and supportive team environment, I hope to build not only skilled athletes but also confident individuals who are ready to face challenges head-on. I believe from my experiences I can do a lot with these goals and reach them with confidence. My leadership on my teams have helped me see what coaching is like. I know the teachers and coaches that instilled great values into me would want me to share their wisdom onto future generations and that’s what I intend to do.

My relationship with Jesus has not always been smooth. There have been times when I felt like I was a halfway Christian, not following the path of the Lord. I noticed myself being around the wrong crowd and not living like a Christian. My belief started to fall. I questioned if faith was real, if Jesus was real. During my high school years, I struggled with maintaining my faith. Despite being a two-time Varsity co-captain and receiving awards like National Honor Society, MVP, and Homecoming Queen, I felt something was missing. I was surrounded by people who did not share my values, and I found myself drifting away from my faith. This made me question everything I believed in, including the existence of Jesus. However, there came a turning point. I realized that I needed to make a change. I started to distance myself from negative influences and began to seek out positive, faith-based communities. I attended church more regularly and joined a youth group that helped me reconnect with my faith. This journey was not easy, but it was necessary for my growth. My relationship with Jesus has since become a cornerstone of my life. It has taught me the importance of perseverance, humility, and love. These lessons have been invaluable, especially as I prepare to enter Texas State University as a rising college freshman. I plan to major in Kinesiology/Physical Therapy and Education, fields that require dedication and compassion—qualities that my faith has helped me develop. Throughout my educational journey, I intend to implement my faith in various ways. First, I will seek out faith-based organizations on campus to stay grounded and connected with like-minded individuals. These communities will provide support and encouragement, helping me navigate the challenges of college life. Second, I will strive to be a positive influence on others. As someone who has been a cheerleader and received the "Most Spirited" award, I understand the impact of a positive attitude. I will use my faith to uplift and inspire my peers, whether through simple acts of kindness or by offering a listening ear. Lastly, I will integrate my faith into my studies and future career. In Kinesiology and Physical Therapy, empathy and compassion are crucial. My faith teaches me to see the dignity in every person, and I will carry this perspective into my work, treating each patient with respect and care. In Education, I will aim to be a role model for my students, demonstrating the values of integrity, perseverance, and love. In conclusion, my relationship with Jesus has profoundly affected my faith, guiding me through difficult times and shaping my character. As I embark on my educational journey at Texas State University, I am committed to living out my faith in all aspects of my life, from my studies to my interactions with others. I believe that by doing so, I can make a positive impact on my community and honor the path that Jesus has laid out for me.

To have two of my closets friends pass away in the same year just months apart from each other sent me into a bad spiral. I was depressed, not taking care of myself, and constantly feeling like it was my fault. Having to go through these things in high school with great teachers to continue to help me and become my support system I am to do the same in my community. I have had some very positive coaches and teachers in high school and from their influence, I want to pursue being a teacher and coach as well. It stems from my passion for both education and empowering young individuals. My goal is to be a positive role model for my students and athletes, helping them grow into confident, empathetic, and successful individuals. By combining my love for teaching and passion for cheer coaching, I aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people, inspiring them to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society.

In the heart of a bustling city like San Antonio, amidst the discordance of daily life, a single moment unfolded like a silent crescendo, birthing a dedication that would forever tether my spirit to the pulse of my community. This past year in 2023 we had a very unfortunate passing of our very own head custodian Max Garcia. He was there when our school first opened and spent his life dedicated to being helpful and kind to everyone. When he passed it absolutely broke my heart. Since his passing I made it my mission to serve our community in and out of school. Being in a leadership position in cheer I was able to put my input and ideas in when it came to serving. I have participated in bus drives, food drives, teacher appreciation, Special Olympics, and clean ups around the school just like Max would’ve wanted. Although he never knew Max was someone I looked up to. He influenced me to become a teacher and to serve others how he was always serving to us.

Simultaneously, my interest in coaching arises from the profound impact sports can have on character development and teamwork. I aspire to inspire young athletes to push their boundaries, develop self-discipline, and build resilience both on and off the field. Throughout my academic journey, I have pursued relevant high school courses to enhance my understanding and abilities in these fields. My focus is not only on imparting knowledge and skills but also on building a supportive and compassionate community that nurtures each individual's unique strength with knowledge I will continue to get in college. College is where dreams come true. College insures me that I can create more out of myself with a higher education. With higher education I am more likely to get a job in my desired field and potentially earn higher income. I used to wish I didn’t have what seems to be a difficult name. However, when I learned that “Semira” means “Fulfilled”, my name became less of an obstacle. 6 divided by 2 times 1 plus 2. I have had some very positive coaches and teachers in high school. From their influence, I want to pursue being a teacher and coach as well. Let me take you back to sophomore year of high school. I was in advanced algebra not understanding a thing with my teacher. He wasn’t the best at explaining and you could never understand his hand writing. This teacher ended up leaving the school and I got a new teacher, Mrs. Snider. She is young, down to earth, and overall an amazing teacher. She possessed a genuine love for mathematics that was contagious! She brought the magic of problem solving to life in our classroom, making each lesson engaging and thought-provoking. Her enthusiasm for math ignited a spark within me and deepened my appreciation for the power of numbers. Now next year, junior year of high school, I had this one particular teacher, Coach Morris. She was yes a coach and taught geometry. For our regular class assignments she would have them labeled as daily, but for checkpoints they were called mamba modes. She called our assignments Mamba Modes to honor Kobe Bryant because she respected and admired all that he stood for. If you know Kobe, he was committed to never being outworked or outsmarted by anyone. Coach Morris instilled in me to always strive for excellence and never settle for less. Beyond their passion, they both displayed a remarkable commitment to their students. They took the time to understand our individual strengths, weaknesses, and interests, tailoring their teaching to meet our needs. They challenged us to push our boundaries, encouraging us to think critically and express ourselves with confidence. With their unwavering support and belief in my abilities instilled in me a sense of self-assurance and a desire to continually strive for excellence. Moreover, these teachers served not only as educators but also as mentors. They provided a safe and nurturing environment where I felt comfortable expressing my thoughts and ideas. Their guidance extended beyond academics, as they both unanimously genuinely cared about our personal growth and well-being. They offered advice, listened attentively, and provided encouragement during challenging times. I used their mentorship to help me navigate through the ups and downs of high school, fostering resilience and a belief in my own potential. These two stupendous experiences with these teachers were the best part about my high school life. They inspired me to become just like them teaching math and coaching to instill greater purpose into children. I want to be just as dedicated or even more dedicated to helping this new generation that steps into the world and guiding them as they go through their high school journey.

My heart ached for months. From then on I really struggled with my mental health. I hadn’t experienced the pain people talked when they discussed the feelings they had when someone passed away. The scream of pain I let out each time truly struck my chest. I became visibly numb. I wasn’t taking care of myself and didn’t care to do work in school. This was a turn where school was on a computer and everything was online. Everyone was feeling sympathy for me because when do you ever hear of two deaths in the same year just months after each other. Over time I learned to cope and would do things they both loved and never stopped thinking about them. Till this day I have gotten much healthier and learned how to deal with grief. I hope they are watching over me as I write about them. They will forever hold a special place in my heart.

This experience showed me how much providing for others and just being their helping makes a huge difference to someone. Families that rode around were thanking us for just giving them the extra help they needed no matter the circumstances. During this time I felt that I was really doing what Max loved the most. He was always paying it forward to other people with expecting nothing in return. That shows true gratitude and integrity which is why I look up to him so much and why I strive to always help others.

Tears roll down my face. My heart aches when just monetarily thinking about leaving high school. My tears fall for one person, the person that changed my life completely,A person who has had a profound impact on my life. That person is my junior year high school Math teacher, Coach Morris. He always had our school looking prestigious and sparkling everyday since it opened. In a world that can often feel divided and chaotic, paying forward helpfulness offers a glimmer of hope and a reminder that kindness and compassion are powerful forces for good. It's a simple yet profound way to make the world a better place, one act of generosity at a time.I intend to continue doing what I can in the school to help because I know that is what Max would’ve wanted.

Locked out of class more than 10 minutes past the bell. No one in sight coming to unlock the classroom. Where is the teacher you may ask? We are supposed to have a substitute due to our teacher being out. Just a p.s the substitute never came and the admin had to open the door. The teacher population is dropping significantly. This harms the way these future generations are being taught and especially what they aren’t being taught.Teacher nowadays aren’t personal with the students. There is no connection between the teacher and student. With no connection comes nothing that’s interactive. There’s no projects or creativity that flows through the classroom. Without creativity no one wants to come to school. Already students don’t want to walk into school because they look like prisons! The desks are uncomfy and the walls are gray. I believe making changes to these things will increase the teacher population because they will have creative freedom, as well as helping the future students. Our future students need personalized learning. This learning holds huge potential to shape future generations by catering to individual students' needs and their different learning styles. Personally I am a visual learner and when s teacher is speaking to me with just words it doesn’t help me learn and retain information. By tailoring instruction to each student's pace, interests, and abilities, personalized learning promotes deeper understanding, increased engagement, and improved academic outcomes. This approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning, fostering independence and critical thinking skills essential for success in the rapidly evolving workforce of the future. Moreover, personalized learning encourages a growth mindset, where students are motivated to tackle challenges, embrace failures as learning opportunities, and strive for continuous improvement. By embracing personalized learning, educators can nurture a generation of lifelong learners who are equipped with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a complex and ever-changing world. Growing up I loved to do interesting projects! Project-based learning is a transformative approach that has the potential to significantly benefit future generations by fostering essential 21st-century skills. Through hands-on, collaborative projects, students engage in real-world problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. By working on projects that are meaningful and relevant, students develop a deeper understanding of concepts and their practical applications. Project-based learning also promotes teamwork, resilience, and adaptability, preparing students for the challenges they will face in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world. By emphasizing experiential learning and application of knowledge, project-based learning equips students with the skills and mindset necessary to excel in a future where innovation and creativity are paramount. Leading into creativity, teachers should be able to have fun classrooms that are filled with bright colors. Implementing a flipped classroom model has the potential to significantly benefit future generations by transforming the traditional learning experience. In a flipped classroom, students are able to engage with instructional content at their own pace outside of class, typically through videos or online resources, allowing for more interactive and collaborative activities during class time. This approach promotes active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in discussions, group projects, and hands-on activities. By shifting the focus from passive to active learning, flipping the classroom encourages student engagement and deeper understanding of concepts. Furthermore, it prepares students for a future where self-directed learning and adaptability are crucial skills for success in a rapidly changing world. Amongst the years creativity has been pushed aside and discouraged. Encouraging creativity in education can profoundly benefit future generations by nurturing innovation, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. When students are encouraged to think creatively, they develop the ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives, think outside the box, and generate unique solutions. Creativity fosters a culture of experimentation and risk-taking, essential qualities in a world that values innovation and continuous improvement. Growing up from covid has been immensely challenging. We sat at home on computers joining a zoom for class. Most people never turned their camera on and others were sleeping. The assignments weren’t difficult and there was no visual aspect of things. Individuals' creative minds were lost and haven’t come back. Moreover, by encouraging creativity, educators empower students to express themselves authentically, build confidence in their ideas, and cultivate a sense of ownership over their learning. In a future where creativity and innovation drive progress in various fields, fostering creativity in education is key to equipping future generations with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. I am committed to staying current with educational research and best practices. I will continuously seek professional development opportunities to enhance my teaching and coaching skills. By integrating innovative teaching methods, leveraging technology, and collaborating with colleagues, I aim to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. By keeping up to date with how fast children develop we can analyze what is needed to make schools better. There needs to be commitment to the children and care with why we are teaching them what we are teaching them in school. No child wants to wake up at six in the morning and go to school till four pm or sometimes even later. We have to make things fun and have the pull that children and teens need. Children all over the world grow up in different cultures, environments, and beliefs. If as a community we could come together and embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact on the world, no matter how small the gesture may seem together we could achieve more. Helping these future children instead of leading them into a school system that is not there to benefit them and be fun. Although school is for learning, learning can be fun with also challenging students of all ages. I believe that our future in these children starts with the schools and if schools are diminishing creativity some of the jobs we do have will start to dwell. I have a strong passion about all these ideas and I aim to make a change that is beneficial to all and for all.

This was one of the most notable features of growing up. I am a military kid. Growing up with a military parent is the frequent relocations that often accompany the life of a military family. Moving from one place to another, sometimes across countries or even continents, can be a regular occurrence for children in these families. From what I can remember, I have lived in England, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, and now Texas. I know we all remember 2020 when the whole world went on a complete shut down. When confronted with these adversities the greatest strength I had was changing perspectives. I had to look at the future and know they would watch over me with every step. I was reaching out to others that were going through the same feelings I was and we helped each other through it. Just listening to their favorite music helped me grief. Till this day I still think about them and all the obstacles we went through together. I know they wouldn’t want me to live in sadness forever so I live with the advice and knowledge that they left me with before flying high.

Adapting to new schools and making new friends can be a significant challenge, requiring children to develop strong social skills and resilience. So I guess what I mean with all this is that I don’t have a set area or remembrance to a particular environment to which I was raised. Additionally, my mother was deployed twice. Once I got to high school I joined the cheerleading team and there we do a lot of community events for all kinds of different people. My favorite community event that we do annually is our Food Bank drives. We participate in loading food up and giving it away to families that are in need. It is my favorite because the people are so sweet and grateful and it is amazing to give back. When I head off to college and cheer in college I wish to have the same experiences with giving back as it puts joy in my heart.

Disney represents imagination, creativity, and the power of storytelling, which has made it an iconic and beloved brand for many. As a kid Disney was the one place where magic happens. Even through television you always wanted to experience the fairytale life. One special fairytale life I always wanted to experience is the movie Lilo and Stitch. If I had to only watch one movie for the rest of my life I would have to pick this one and here is why. The film begins with the creation of Experiment 626, or as we know stitch. He escapes to Earth and crash-lands in Hawaii, where he encounters Lilo, a spirited and independent young girl dealing with the loss of her parents. Lilo's older sister, Nani, takes on the responsibility of caring for her, and their bond is tested as they navigate the challenges of their unconventional family dynamic. Lilo and Stitch's friendship blossoms as they discover shared experiences of feeling out of place and misunderstood. Lilo teaches Stitch the importance of love, compassion, and the true meaning of 'ohana' - a Hawaiian term for family. Meanwhile, Stitch's presence helps Lilo cope with her feelings of loss and loneliness, providing her with a sense of companionship and support. I enjoy this movie specially because of how family importance is portrayed. It is heartwarming and has many meanings when analyzing the movie. I am a big family person and love to just bond together even if that’s just watching tv. It means a lot in my heart just how the movie shows it. Another reason I love Lilo and Stitch is that it has left a lasting impact on audiences of all ages. The film's unique blend of comedy, heartwarming moments, and memorable characters has made it a beloved classic. It emphasizes the value of empathy, acceptance, and the potential for personal growth and redemption. Beyond its entertainment value, Lilo and Stitch provides valuable life lessons for viewers. It teaches us to embrace our flaws, to see the beauty in our differences, and to understand that true family and friendship are not bound by blood but by love and support. For all of these reasons, I not only love Lilo and Stitch but would choose it as my only movie to watch for the rest of my life. Lilo and Stitch serves as a reminder that our differences make us unique and that by embracing them, we can create a more compassionate and understanding world.
