I grew up as a single child on a farm in Tennessee. We lived in a small log house which was more so a shack than anything else. My best friend was a cat and I'd talk to this cat all the time because there were no other children around. As I grew up I knew I wanted more in life. I grew older, I had children and became a single mother so I never finished college. I have the desire and passion for furthering my education. That's why at 58 I am returning to school.
