Volunteering has completely changed my mindset. I have always looked up to people who travel on missionary trips and I would love to be as considerate and helpful as the people that I have always looked up to. I like to remember that people always need someone even if they do not state it, even if I can give a little hope it would make so much of a difference and I want people to remember me as that amazing nurse that gave them hope when they didn't have much. I would also like to travel as a nurse after I receive my RN to help all different people around the world. Every year since I received my registered medical assistant I go back to that class and speak with the students about my experience when I was in the same seat they are in now. I want everyone to see that there is always something beyond what is happening at this moment in time. I have also spent time in the hospital under medical circumstances heart-related. I was diagnosed with AVNRT and had to undergo a heart ablation there were people there for me and I want to be there for others going through hard life circumstances. I love the medical field and I truly want to make a difference in my life, I want to help people understand their medical conditions. I have always wanted to be in medicine, it has always been a passion of mine and I can not wait to look back when I receive my registered nursing degree and just tell myself that I did it and that it was all worth the time and hours that I put into it. I love to help people and many describe me as outgoing and caring, I feel that I am this way due to my volunteering and seeing how others are. I am trying to pay completely out of pocket for my college education but it truly does add up over time. I truly would like to come out of debt free and each semester it gets a little harder, being in nursing school takes a lot of time and studying. I am currently only able to work one day a week and I am not making enough money to keep up with the cost of college classes this scholarship would truly help out in the biggest way possible.

I am interested in the nursing pathway due to the fact that I can help people in a short time. People always need someone to turn to and I would truly like to be that person for them. Another reason that I am interested in this career choice is to be able to go on missionary trips to help people that have had tragic life circumstances. Some of my goals for a successful career include receiving my bachelor's degree after I receive my RN. I have already started working towards this goal by taking extra classes that lead to my bachelor's of nursing. I would also like to travel as a nurse after I receive my RN. I have looked into what steps it takes to start travel nursing. I do have past medical experience such as I received my RMA (registered medical assistant) from the Genesee Career Institute in high school. I have worked with my registered medical assistant certification for over 3 years. Every year since I received my registered medical assistant I go back to that class and speak with the students about my experience when I was in the same seat they are in now. I want everyone to see that there is always something beyond what is happening at this moment in time. I am in school to get my associate's in nursing at this time working in the hospital during clinical work. I have also spent time in the hospital under medical circumstances heart-related.
