Bio

Driven by a passion for sustainable agriculture and community impact, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Soil Science from the University of Florida and recently completed an MBA at Dallas Baptist University. My academic journey reflects a commitment to combining scientific knowledge with sound business management in pursuit of regenerative farming practices that benefit both the environment and my local community. As a young professional, I have faced significant financial challenges, balancing tuition costs with limited personal resources while striving to excel academically and serve as a mentor to others pursuing careers in agriculture. My long-term goal is to own and operate a sustainable farm, where I can provide mentorship and promote volunteer initiatives for future agricultural leaders. This scholarship will allow me to focus on developing essential skills, engage in community outreach, and further my ability to support others facing similar hurdles. Receiving financial aid will not only ease the burden of educational expenses but also empower me to continue advancing environmental stewardship within rural communities and the broader food production sector

Higher education has been the catalyst that connects my scientific background in soil science with a strategic, business-oriented approach to sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship. By pursuing advanced business studies after earning my degree from the University of Florida, I have gained a holistic perspective: I not only understand the biological and chemical complexities of our food systems but now also possess the business and management acumen necessary to address real-world challenges in agriculture and beyond. An MBA curriculum exposed me to the dynamic intersection of sustainability, technology, and business strategy. Topics like data-driven decision-making, emerging agricultural technologies (such as AI, IoT, and blockchain), supply chain transparency, and financial management have deeply influenced my outlook on what it means to be a leader in modern agribusiness. These skills are essential for building resilient enterprises that can adapt to climate shifts, shifting market landscapes, and rapid changes in consumer preferences around ethical sourcing and transparency. The value of higher education lies not only in technical competence but also in fostering entrepreneurial thinking and leadership. MBA programs encourage innovation and provide frameworks for launching and scaling new ventures—from precision ag-tech startups to regenerative farms that prioritize both profitability and ecological stewardship. Higher education has equipped me to bridge the gap between traditional farming knowledge and the demands of a high-tech, competitive marketplace where business leaders are expected not just to generate profit but also to advance social and environmental causes. As I pursue my long-term goal of building a community-oriented, sustainable farm, my refined business knowledge will enable me to mentor others, navigate complex regulatory and market environments, and ensure financial stability for my operations and for those who depend on them. Higher education empowers me to deliver value to my community, to future agricultural professionals, and to the industry as a whole, fueling not only my career but also the broader movement toward a more sustainable, ethical, and innovative future in business. This master's in business will propel me to my dreams of owning a farm and give me the background I need in order to succeed at my craft. So often, women are not valued in the agricultural world, and I hope to make a difference in the farming industry. We need more food, and we need to do it in a way that helps the earth thrive. By getting my master's in business, I am one step closer to my goal of changing the world.
