Ever since I was a child, my two goals in life have been 1.) to help as many people as I can and 2.) Be as happy as I can be while doing it. I've experienced many roadblocks along the way, however, my determination for greatness has kept me on my feet, fighting for that dream. I grew up in a family of other hard workers but finances were always a struggle. My parents were not well educated on how to properly handle money which created a lot of tension in the household. Now that my parents have separated, the financial stress has only gotten worse. Watching my older sister struggle with her loans has been terrifying as I know I'm next in line. I am applying for these scholarships because I don't want to be buried by debt before I've had a chance to further my education and reach my goals.
